UAE's squad was operated by the Emirates Cricket Board (ECB). In 1989, UAE became an Affiliate Member of the ICC and an Associate Member of the ICC in the following year. UAE national cricket team is one of the emerging One Day International (ODI) cricket teams, the UAE's squad won the ACC Trophy in four consecutive tournaments from 2000 to 2006. 10. Mohammad Naveed

In January 2019, Naveed captained the United Arab Emirates for the first time in an ODI match, in their domestic series against the Nepalese cricket team. In March 2021, Naveed was banned from all formats of cricket for eight years as he was found guilty of corruption.

9. Saqib Ali

Saqib is of Pakistani origin; he has played for the United Arab Emirates national cricket team from 2006 to 2015, including five One Day International (ODI) matches. Saqib captained the Emirates cricket team during the 2007 ICC World Cricket League Division Two tournament.

8. Mohammad Tauqir Khan

Mohammad Tauqir was born on 14 January 1972; he is a cricketer in the United Arab Emirates national cricket team. Tauqir is a lower-ordered batsman and off-spin bowler in UAE's squad; he played his first match for UAE in the ACC Trophy of 1996.

7. Riaz Husein Poonawala

Riaz started his career in playing first-class cricket matches for his native Maharashtra. Riaz later immigrated to the United Arab Emirates for where he took part in the ICC Trophy of 1994. Riaz also faced two One Day Internationals in the Pepsi Austral-Asia Cup of 1994.

Saeed-Al-Saffar was born on 31 July 1968; he is a cricket player who has successfully represented the United Arab Emirates at the international level. Saeed was also selected for the UAE cricket team in the ICC Trophy of 1996–97, and 2001, which is the qualifying tournament for the World Cup played between non-Test nations.

5. Ahmed Raza

Ahmed is an Emirati cricket player; he is the current captain of the United Arab Emirates national cricket team. Raza is a right-handed batsman who bowls slow left-arm orthodox in UAE's s squad. In the ACC Twenty20 Cup of 2009, Raza was the UAE's leading wicket-taker with Moiz Shahid; they took twelve wickets together.

4. Sultan Zarawani

Zarawani is a former cricket player in the United Arab Emirates national cricket team. Zarawani played seven one-day international matches for UAE's squad. Under his captainship, the UAE won the ICC Trophy of 1994 in Kenya from which they qualified for the Cricket World Cup of 1996. Zarawani also captained the UAE squad in their first-ever One Day International match against India.

2. Rohan Mustafa

Rohan Mustafa is a left-handed batsman and bowls right-arm off-spin in the United Arab Emirates cricket squad. At the Asia Cup Qualifier of 2016, Rohan made 77 runs in just 50 balls in the opening match against Afghanistan; he started the opening batting with Muhammad Kaleem. This set a new record for the highest score by any UAE cricketer in a Twenty20 International match.

In 2014, Khurram became one of the oldest cricketers to stroke an ODI century as his unbeaten 132 helped the UAE cricket team to a six-wicket winning over Afghanistan in Dubai. Khurram is considered the best cricket player to play for the United Arab Emirates.
