In January 2019, the USA became ICC's 105th Member. It became the 93rd Associate Nation to be approved by the ICC members. Associate Members are the regulatory bodies for cricket of a country approved by the International Cricket Council (ICC) or nations associated for cricket purposes, which does not qualify as a Full Member, but where cricket is firmly authorized and regulated. The team played its first-ever ODI match in 2019. The batters in the USA cricket team have performed immensely well in ODI matches and have proved their mastery in the format.
