A duck is an undesirable component for any cricketer. Whether or not they are an experienced and capable batsman, this situation is frightful for them and beloved by the bowlers. Scoring a duck in cricket certainly means that a batter is disregarded with zero runs, but sometime after the first ball. The first-ever silver duck in One-Day Internationals was scored by Bob Woolmer from England against Australia in 1972. Today we will talk about Afghanistan batters' performance concerning the most ducks in their ODI career.

1. Mujeeb Ur Rahman 

Mujeeb Ur Rahman is a right-arm off-break bowler from the Afghanistan team who played in 49 One-Day Internationals and made 96 runs with an average of 7.38 between 2017 to 2022. He made his first ODI debut against Ireland on December 5, 2017. He is the youngest player to take five-wickets-in-an-innings. Mujeeb scored eight ducks in his ODI career and is placed top on the list.

2. Dawlat Zadran

Dawlat Zadran is placed second on the list with the most ducks by Afghanistan cricketers with 7 ODI ducks. He is a former right-arm fast-medium bowler from Afghanistan who made his ODI debut against Canada on August 7, 2011. He played 82 ODI, made 513 runs with an average of 17.68 and holds the 2nd position for bowler/batters' combinations.

3. Rashid Khan 

Rashid Khan is a leg-break googly bowler for the Afghanistan team who made his first ODI debut against Zimbabwe on October 18, 2015. He played 80 matches, scored 1069 runs with an average of 20.16 and placed third on the list with seven ODI ducks. He holds the record of being the youngest captain in Test matches and ODI format.

4. Asghar Afghan 

Asghar Afghan is a former middle-order batter from Afghanistan who made his first ODI debut against Scotland on April 19, 2009. Asghar played 114 matches, scored 2429 runs and is in the fourth position with 7 ODI ducks. He also made twelve 50s in his ODI career and held a record for most consecutive matches as captain of a team.

5. Mohammad Nabi 

Mohammad Nabi is one of the best players as an Allrounder from the Afghanistan team who made his ODI debut against Scotland on April 19, 2009. He is placed fifth on the list with six ducks who played 116 innings and scored 2869 runs with an average of 27.58. He holds the record with the most player of the match awards.

6. Gulbadin Naib 

Gulbadin Naib is an All-rounder from the Afghanistan team who made his ODI debut against Canada on August 9, 2022. He played 72 matches between 2011-2022 and scored 1114 runs with a good average of 21.01. He is placed sixth on the list with five ducks and holds the record for best figures in an innings by a captain (ODI).

7. Shafiqullah 

Shafiqullah is a former wicketkeeper and right-hand batsman from the Afghanistan team who made his first ODI debut against the Netherlands on September 1, 2009. He is placed next on the list with four ducks who played 24 matches and scored 430 runs with an average of 22.63 between 2009-2018.

8. Hamid Hassan

Hamid Hassan is a former right-arm bowler from the Afghanistan team who held the 7th position for outstanding bowler analyses in an innings (3/4). He played 38 matches between 2009-2019 and scored 107 runs with an average of 6.68. He is placed next on the list with four ducks in 22 innings.

9. Shapoor Zadran
