They triumphed in the second BBL season, the Brisbane Heat's most successful to date. Things didn't go well, even with the best players in the franchise, like Chris Lynn and Brendon McCullum. They succeeded in getting into the sixth BBL but lost in the semifinals. They came in second place in the 12th BBL edition despite having a second chance to win the championship.
