Bangladesh doesn't have a good start in its cricket career, but it has continuously evolved since the 1990s. Bangladesh national cricket team is popularly known as "The Tigers," it is a full member of the international cricket council. Although cricket was not a very popular sport in Bangladesh, as Bangladeshis were more interested in football, in the 1990s, cricket surpassed football in Bangladesh. After winning the ICC trophy of 1997 in Malaysia, Bangladesh qualified for participating in the cricket World Cup of 1999 in England. Here are some excellent batsmen in the Bangladeshi cricket team:

10. Liton Das

Liton Das made 1,079 runs in 36 One Day Internationals with an average of 32.69 while making three centuries. Year after year, Liton Das has been improving his batting style since his debut in 2015 in international cricket. Recently, he became the High Scorer of ODI while playing against Zimbabwe by making 176 runs in a bilateral series in March. He is a good wicket-keeper too.

9. Akram Khan

Akram Khan made 1,235 runs with five half-centuries, although it doesn't excite the statisticians that he was one of the first major stars of Bangladesh cricket. But only under his captaincy the Bangladeshi cricket team could make these in international cricket and become a full member of the International Cricket Council.

8. Mominul Haque

Mominul Haque made 2,860 runs with an average of 41. He holds the record of the highest batting average by any Bangladeshi cricketer in the history of test cricket. At the age of 29, he made nine centuries. He is mainly famous for his batting average.

7. Aminul Islam

Aminul Islam was one of the early shining stars for the Bangladeshi cricket team during their starting days as full-time members of the ICC. Bangladesh cricket team qualified for the World Cup 1999 under his captainship by defeating the Pakistan cricket team in the group stage. In the inaugural test against India, Aminul made his first test century.

6. Mohammad Ashraful

Mohammad Ashraful is one of the leading batsmen of the Bangladesh cricket team; he has made 6000 runs and nine international centuries. After his involvement in the match-fixing, his cricket career didn't grow well.

5. Mahmudullah Riyad

Mahmudullah Riyad is an all-rounder on the Bangladeshi cricket team. He made 4,469 runs in 200 One-Day International matches at an average of 33.36 while making three centuries and taking 76 wickets. He has a great power of hitting boundaries with good strokes.

4. Shakib Al Hasan

Shakib Al Hasan is an outshining left-handed all-rounder to this date. He made 6,323 runs in 206 One-Day International innings at an average of 37.86 while making seven centuries. He took 260 wickets and was the most successful spin bowler.

3. Mushfiqur Rahim

Mushfiqur Rahim is a robust middle-order batsman and wicket-keeper. He became the Bangladeshi cricket team captain at the age of 24. Mushfiqur Rahim holds the record for making the first double century, which any Bangladeshi cricketer did not. He made more than 8000 runs and nine centuries, and he is a good wicket-keeper. Also, he made 300 dismissals.

2. Habibul Bashar

Habibul Bashar is famously known as 'Mr. Fifty' after he made a series of outstanding half-centuries. He is both a good Captain and a good batsman. He made more than 5000 runs with three centuries and 24 half-centuries. Furthermore, he holds the record for making the first half-century for the Bangladeshi cricket team. He plays fearlessly against fast bowlers with complete determination.

1. Tamim Iqbal

Tamim Iqbal was an opening-best batsman of the Bangladeshi cricket team and a top scorer. He debuted in the 2007 World Cup and had made 13 centuries at an average of 36.74. Tamim Iqbal is the first-ever batsman from the Bangladeshi cricket team who crossed the 10,000-run mark at an international stage and made 18 international centuries.
