Asian Cricket Council Asia Cup is a men's one-day international and twenty-twenty international cricket competition. It was established in 1983 when the Asian Cricket Council was launched to foster goodwill among Asian nations. The Asia Cup is the only cricket continental championship. The ODI and T20 formats are swapped every two years.  The teams playing in the Asia Cup are Sri Lanka, India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, and Afghanistan. Bangladesh Cricket Team was runner-up in the 2012 and 2018 Asia Cup ODI tournaments and the 2016  Asia Cup T20I tournament. Let us now look at the top 10 players from Bangladesh who have played the most number of matches in the Asia Cup.

1. Mohammad Mushfiqur Rahim 

Mohammad Mushfiqur Rahim is a right-hand wicketkeeper-batsman from Bangladesh who played in the Asia Cup from 2008 to 2018. He has played 21 games and has scored 699 runs with an average of 36.78 and a strike rate of 84.52 with two hundred and two fifties.

2. Mohammad Mahmudullah 

Mohammad Mahmudullah is a right arm offbreak allrounder. He played his first game in the Asia Cup in 2008 and has played 20 games. The bowler took ten wickets in 17 innings with an average of 51.60 and an economy of 5.10 and also scored 328 runs. Mahmudullah played his last game in the Asia Cup 50 overs format in 2018.

3. Mashrafe Bin Mortaza 

Mashrafe Bin Mortaza is a right-arm fast-medium bowler. He played his first game in the Asia Cup for Bangladesh in 2008 and has played till 2018. Mortaza took 18 wickets in 19 games with an average of 48.22 and an economy of 5.69.

4. Abdur Razzak 

Abdur Razzak is a slow left-arm orthodox bowler from Bangladesh. His international career started in 2004, and he played till 2018. Razzak played his last game in the Asia Cup in 2014. He has played 18 games and took 22 wickets with an average of 36.18 and an economy of 4.67.

5. Mohammad Aminul Islam 

Mohammad Aminul Islam is a right-hand middle-order batsman. Islam played 14 games and has scored 238 runs in 14 innings. He played in the Asia Cup from 1988 to 2000 and has an average of 18.30 with a strike rate of 51.51.

6. Khaled Mashud 

Khaled Mashud is a right-hand wicketkeeper-batsman. He played in the Asia Cup from 1995 to 2004 and has played 14 games scoring 205 runs with an average of 18.63 with one fifty-plus score.

7. Mohammad Akram Hussain Khan 

Mohammad Akram Hussain Khan is a right-hand middle-order batsman. He played from 1988 to 2000 and scored 345 runs in 13 games with an average of 28.75 and a strike rate of 63.30. He has scored two fifties.

8. Tamim Iqbal

Tamim Iqbal is a left hand opening batsman. He made his debut in the Asia Cup in 2008 and has played till 2018. During this time, he played 13 games and scored 519 runs in 13 innings with a strike rate of 81.34 and an average of 43.25 with six fifties.

9. Shakib Al Hasan 

Shakib Al Hasan is a Bangladeshi allrounder. Hasan played his first game in the Asia Cup in 2010 and has scored 402 runs in 13 games with an average of 33.50 and a strike rate of 103.07 with three fifties and took 19 wickets in 13 games with an average of 32.73. Minhajul Abedin is a right hand batsman and right arm offbreak bowler. He played in the Asia Cup from 1986 to 1997 and played 13 games and scored 182 runs with an average of 15.16 and also took five wickets with an average of 54.60.
