Many cricketers have called themselves lucky to play for their team. However, many who, despite playing for their national cricket team, feel unlucky. Various players who would have played for more times, but factors such as injury, out of form, and more stopped themselves.

Irfan Pathan is considered the next big thing in the Indian cricket team bowling department. His ability to swing the ball made him more dangerous. Pathan was a superstar of the Indian cricket team at some point, but he couldn't hold his consistency because of modifications in his role. He is often remembered for his magical hat-trick against the Pakistan cricket team.

6. Dinesh Karthik

Dinesh Karthik was born in the wrong era. The primary reason behind this statement is his competition with none other than legendary Dhoni. Dhoni cemented his place in a very short time. He did extremely well, and team management never looked for another wicket-keeper. However, Karthik was a part of two ICC title-winning teams.

Badrinath is another firm name in this list. Badrinath was a key member of the Chennai Super Kings for a few seasons. Everyone started to believe that he would represent the Indian cricket team for a long time. However, he didn't get enough opportunities due to the availability of more skillful players.

8. Karun Nair

Karun Nair is one of the two Indian batsmen to score triple centuries in test cricket. He achieved that triple century when the Indian cricket team looked for a solid middle-order batsman. Unfortunately, he got dropped not just from the team but also, from the squad. Many people believe that he deserved more chances.

9. Ambati Raydu

When we talk about the Unluckiest cricketer, Rayudu's name is certain there. A player with almost 50 averages in ODIs didn't get an opportunity to represent India in the world Cup 2019. Rayudu is a proven player in all tournaments from domestic to the IPL. However, he didn't get an opportunity according to his potential.

10. Robin Uthappa

Uthappa is an iconic name of the Indian Premier League. He will go down as one of the finest batters of this tournament. But when we see his international record, the Scenario isn't the same. He has played just a selected number of matches at this level. However, he was a part of the world Cup-winning team of the 2007 T20 World cup.
