Delhi Capitals is one of the eight teams to take part in the Indian Premier League (IPL). Managed jointly by GMR Group and JSW Group, Delhi Capitals was established in 2008 as Delhi Daredevils before acquiring a new avatar in December 2018. It played its first game in the first IPL season against Rajasthan Royals. Delhi Capitals has reached the IPL playoffs three times. 9. Quinton De Kock

South African Left-Handed wicket-keeper Batsman, Quinton de Kock is in the ninth place of top 10 best batsmen of Delhi Capitals in the season. Scoring 720 runs in 23 Games (23 Innings) with an average of 32.72 and a striking rate of 134.83.

8. Jean-Paul Duminy

Left-Handed Middle Order Batsman Jean-Paul Duminy is in the seventh place of top 10 best batsmen of Delhi Capitals. Hitting 1015 runs in 38 matches (35 Innings) with a massive average of 44.13 and a striking rate of 130.79.

7. Dinesh Karthik

Indian Right-handed Wicketkeeper Batsman, Dinesh Karthik is in the sixth place of most runs scored by a Delhi Capitals batsman having scored 1036 runs in 56 games (49 Innings) with an average of 25.26 and striking rate of 126.49.

6. Gautam Gambhir

India's best Left-Handed Opening Batsman Gautam Gambhir is in the fifth position of the top 10 best batsmen of Delhi Capitals scoring 1182 runs in 46 games (44 Innings) with an average of 29.55 and a striking rate of 122.86.

5. David Warner

Since 2013, David Warner was constantly on the Delhi Daredevils team, before moving to Sun Risers Hyderabad. He worked alongside Dhawan, forming an excellent league-opening partnership. In Delhi, Warner hit nearly 1,500 runs, including two centuries.

4. Shikhar Dhawan

Shikhar Dhawan played for the Delhi Daredevils before moving to Hyderabad and has recently returned to Delhi Capitals. It was at Sunrisers Hyderabad that Dhawan won the most runs in the IPL one of only five strikers who exceeded 5,000 runs in IPL history but entered the most prestigious contribution on the Delhi side.

3. Rishabh Pant

Rishabh Pant was introduced to the Delhi Capitals team near the heels of his victory at the 2016 U-19 World Cup, and the youngster came in well in the middle. Pant became Delhi's third runner-up to surpass the 2000 runs race in the IPL 2020. Pant will be the frontrunner in the absence of Shreyas Iyer in the IPL 2021.

2. Shreyas Iyer

Shreyas Iyer, who joined the team in 2015 and took over the captainship in 2019, became the second batsman to score 200 runs for Delhi Capitals. He is the man Delhi has turned to for their strength and leadership and he has led them to the top three finishers in the past two seasons.

1. Virender Sehwag

Delhi Capitals have changed their lineup many times over the years. Sehwag has played the most number of games for the Delhi team in the IPL - 86. He is one of only three players to score more than 2000 runs for the team. With two centuries and 17half-centuries in his name, Sehwag has a very astonishing strike rate of 158.
