2. Kapil Dev {The Haryana Hurricane}

Kapil Dev Ramlal Nikhanj was born on January 6 th 1959 in Chandigarh as his family moved to Chandigarh after the partition. Kapil Dev was the first captain of the Indian cricket team to win the 1983 Cricket World Cup and is still the youngest captain of the Indian Cricket team to win the Cricket World Cup. Kapil Dev is world famous and known for his world record of 175 runs from 138 deliveries of the balls on June 19 1983, made during his win of the world record. Kapil made a record of the highest number of wickets taken, and Courtney Walsh broke this record in the year 2000. Kapil made it possible for India to win its first world cup in cricket.

3. Sachin Tendulkar {Master Blaster, Little Master}

Sachin Tendulkar was born on April 24th 1973 in Dadar, Bombay. He is referred to as the ‘God of Cricket’ in India for his superb batting skills at the cricket matches during his career. He is also known as “Master Blaster” or “Little Master” by people for his tough batting. Sachin has the record for most centuries and most innings in tests. Sachin is the inspiration for most cricketers to achieve a career like him.

4. Irfan Pathan {The Swing King}

Irfan Pathan was born on October 27th 1974 in Baroda, Gujarat. Irfan Pathan is half of Pashtun ancestry and uses Pathan as his surname. Irfan Khan is known as “The Swing King” for his fast bowling. Irfan Khan is one of the best fast bowlers in the world and has the world record for having a hat trick in the 1st over of a test match unbroken to this date.

5. Virender Sehwag {Nawab Of Najafgarh}

Virender Sehwag was born on October 20th 1978 in a Jat family of a grain merchant in Haryana. Virender Sehwag is also known as “Nawab of Najafgarh” as he was born in Najafgarh, Delhi. Sehwag became the first batsman to ever score 7,500 runs as an opening batsman in ODIs. Sehwag is also known for his double century in ODIs and triple century scored on March 24 th 2004 in the match against Pakistan in Multan and claimed the title of “Multan ka Sultan” in this match.

6. Rahul Dravid {The Wall}

Rahul Dravid was born on January11th 1973, in a Marathi-speaking Brahmin family in Indore, Madhya Pradesh. Rahul Dravid is also known as “The Wall” for his solid stance, defense, and ability to hang on the cricket pitch. Dravid is known for his records for making 210 centuries, which is the most centuries in the test history, and for facing 3000 balls in the test history, which are the most balls faced in the test history. Sikhar Dhawan was born on December 5th 1985 in Delhi. Yuvraj Singh was born in Chandigarh on December 12 th 1981. Yuvraj has the world record for consecutive sixes and is the only batsman to hit the fastest 50 of T20 in 12 balls on 19 th September 2007. Yuvraj Singh made a legend by making the world record for six sixes which will be unforgettable.
