The months of May and June bring back the most prestigious league in India. Indian Premier League (IPL) is a domestic, annual Twenty20 cricket tournament organized by the IPL Governing Council, officially known as TATA IPL for sponsorship reasons. The 15th edition of IPL brings back ten teams with the addition of two new teams this season. I.e. Lucknow Supergiants (LSG) & Gujarat Titans (GT) which are captained by KL Rahul and Hardik Pandya respectively.

1. Rahul Tripathi

Being consistent and acting as a backbone in every, each season and team he plays is the key to success for this guy. He impressed everyone when he played in the top order for Kolkata Knight Riders previously. Still, an Indian call awaits him after being the greatest Indian uncapped batsman for years. After scoring 413 runs in 14 matches this season, playing for a new team (Sunrisers Hyderabad- who bought him for a whopping 8.5 Cr), he has proved his worth once again.

2. Tilak Verma

Not a great season for them but one of the best finds for Mumbai Indians came this year in the form of this 19-year-old youngster – Tilak Verma. The rising star has scored 397 runs in 14 matches, maintaining an average of 36.09 in his first debut season of the IPL, registering two 50's and playing crucial knocks whenever required in the absence of Suryakumar Yadav; this guy just became the face of Mumbai Indians in 2022.

3. Umran Malik

Clocking 150kmph in multiple times is no joke. This young speedster from Jammu & Kashmir grabbed the opportunity in 2021, and guess what? He gets retained for 2022 after bowling the fastest delivery by an Indian in the tournament's history. Malik grabbed 22 wickets this season for his team in 14 matches, being the highest wicket-taker for his team. With this, he has also earned a maiden national call-up after his sensational performance.

4. Mohsin Khan

Another youngster in the making, Indian left-arm speedsters, are challenging to find, they said. Mohsin Khan was bought by Lucknow Supergiants at the base price of 20 Lakhs. The duo of Avesh Khan and Mohsin Khan was impressive this year and could be even more dangerous next year with this team coming hard at others. He became the second-best wicket-taker of the season, taking 14 wickets in only nine games. There might be an international call soon knocking at his door.

5. Abhishek Sharma

After being with Sunrisers Hyderabad for three seasons, this youngster has proved his worth this year. Though the team could not qualify this year, they found themselves an opener they could rely on. He averages 31.3 while striking at the rate of 141.57 when batting in the top three. Having the best season of his IPL career this year when promoted as an opener scoring consistently with the bat ( 426 runs in 14 matches), he did quite well.

6. Arshdeep Singh

Punjab did back Arshdeep though he was one of only two retained players at the franchise ahead of IPL 2022. Arshdeep is back and considered the joker in the pack for this team, any pressure situation rises, and he gets the ball. He bagged ten wickets in 14 matches at an economy of 7.70, which is quite impressive, while others leaked runs. After his consecutive performances with the bowl over the years, he received a national call for the upcoming T20s against South Africa.

7. Rajat Patidar

He was signed as a replacement for Luvnith Sisodia in the middle of IPL 2022 after playing for Royal Challengers Bangalore in 2021 and going unsold in the auction. This 28-year-old has made a remarkable comeback this year, scoring at an average of 55.0 which comprises 275 runs from seven innings. He is the first uncapped Indian player to score a century in the history of IPL in a Playoff match that came against Lucknow Supergiant, smashing bowlers all over the Eden Gardens, which is his best innings till now.

8. Mukesh Choudhary

It might not have been an excellent year for Chennai Superkings, finishing in the bottom half of the table. There were many positives for them. One of them is Mukesh Choudhary, bought by the team in the Mega Auction ever since the team missed the services of Deepak Chahar this year due to his injury. Mukesh filled in for Chahar almost perfectly as he regularly used to bowl in the Powerplay overs giving the team multiple breakthroughs. Having the words of advice from Dwayne Bravo, this 25-year-old picked up 16 wickets in 12 innings.

9. Jitesh Sharma

The Mega Auction of 2022 fulfilled the needs of Punjab Kings. Jitesh Sharma was bought at the base price of 20 Lakhs. Punjab Kings found a wicketkeeper batter who is good behind the wickets and can finish games for the team when needed. Jitesh made his debut on 3rd April. Since then, he has scored 234 runs for the team and was also ahead of the likes of the captain Mayank Agarwal as well as Bhanuka Rajapaksa. Striking the bowl at the rate of 163.63 and completing seven catches and two stumpings, with this, he proves he is a better player.

10. Yash Dayal

This 24-year-old made his debut this year with Gujarat Titans, he can swing the ball on both sides, which makes him a perfect pick; he has a perfect bouncer and can bowl yorkers as well, which impressed the captain and coaches straightaway. He clinched ten wickets in 8 matches, with 3-40 being one of the best spells he bowled this year.
