Pakistani national cricket team has marked its presence by winning each of the significant International Cricket Council tournaments- ICC Cricket World Cup, ICC World Cup Twenty 20, and ICC Championship Trophy. Due to the increase in terrorism, foreign teams didn’t favour coming to Pakistan for matches but again, in recent times matches have started in Pakistan. Pakistani national cricket team has very aggressive and famous bowlers as well as the captains.

10. Sarfaraz Ahmed

Sarfaraz Ahmed took up the captaincy of the test matches after the retirement of Misbah-ul-Haq and hence became the 32nd Test captain of the Pakistani national Cricket Team. He is a Batsman as well as a wicketkeeper and has scored a total of 2302 runs in ODI cricket. Under his captainship, the Pakistani cricket team won the Champions Trophy in June 2017. In March 2018, Sarfraz became the youngest cricketer to be awarded the Sitara-i-Imtiaz.

9. Saleem Malik

Saleem Malik was the captain of the Pakistani national cricket team in 12 Tests, out of which they won 7 matches. In ODI cricket, under his captainship, they won 21 matches out of 34. Malik played his first Test match in 1982, against Sri Lanka. After making 12 runs in his first innings he made a century in the second innings to establish a declaration.

8. Javed Miandad

Mohammad Javed Miandad is a  former right-handed batsman and a capable captain of the Pakistani national cricket team. At the young age of just 22, he got the responsibility of captainship. He is famous for encouraging his teammates to keep up the spirit of the team. He is also known for his historic last ball six against India in 1986 at Sharjah.

7. Wasim Akram

Wasim Akram was good in all forms of cricket. He is a cricket commentator, coach,  former cricketer, and was a captain of the Pakistani national cricket team. He is mainly famous as one of the greatest bowlers of all time; Wasim Akram has also been nicknamed ‘Sultan Of Swing.’ Akram is one of the best captains of the Pakistani national cricket team.

6. Abdul Hafeez Kardar

Abdul Hafeez Kardar was the first captain of the Pakistani national cricket team. He is one of the only three players who have played Test cricket for both India and Pakistan. His main achievement is squaring Pakistan’s first-ever series against England in England. He is famous for leaving chits with clear instructions and inspirational quotes on them in the players' rooms.

5. Mushtaq Mohammad

Mushtaq Mohammad is one of the leading captains of the Pakistani national cricket team during his time. An all-rounder right-handed batsman, and a leg-spinner. He showed his country in nineteen Test matches. He was the only Pakistani to score a century and take five wickets in an innings in the exact test match two times. There is a controversy related to him that he asked his fast bowlers to bowl bouncers and injure the batsman of the Indian cricket team during an ODI in 1978. The Indian team walked out in protest.

4. Imran Khan

Imran Khan is the most successful ODI Captain of the Pakistani national cricket team. He made 3,807 runs and took 362 wickets in test cricket. Imran Khan took over the captaincy of the Pakistani national cricket team in 1982 when he was at the peak of his cricket career. But his career-high as a captain came when the Pakistani national cricket team won the World Cup of 1992 in Australia.  He announced his retirement from cricket in 1992 and which .he is now the current Prime Minister of Pakistan.

3. Inzamam-Ul-Haq

Inzamam-ul-Haq is a very reliable batsman and one of the best captains of the Pakistani national cricket team. His aggressive batting and outstanding leadership qualities led to Pakistan’s victory in the world cup of 1992. He scored 8,830 runs in test matches with a batting average of near 50. Haq is Pakistan’s only batsman who made 20,000 runs in International cricket. He captained his team for nearly four years and announced his retirement in 2007.

2. Misbah-Ul-Haq

Misbah-ul-Haq Khan Niazi, better known as Misbah-ul-Haq, is a former International cricketer and captain of Pakistan in One-day International matches and Test matches. Misbah has been one of the top players and captains of the Pakistani national cricket team and was best known for his comfort with the bat. He retired in 2017, after which with his never-ending love for cricket was the coach of the Pakistani team and also its Chief selector.

1. Waqar Younis

Waqar YounisMaitla is one of the top captains of the Pakistani national cricket team in the history of cricket; he took more than 373 test wickets and 416 wickets in ODI matches during his cricket career. He formed one of the most dangerous unbeatable opening fast bowling pairs with Wasim Akram. However, his career graph loosened in early 2000, due to conflicts with the then captain Akram.
