The Pakistan Cricket Team won the Asia Cup Championship the 2000 and 2012. Its recent edition, Asia Cup 2022, will be played in T20 format from August 27 to September 11 in Sri Lanka, according to the Asian Cricket Council Asia Cup. After its debut edition in 2016, which India won, this is the second edition in which the Asia Cup will be played in T20 format. Afghanistan, India, Bangladesh, Pakistan, and Sri Lanka will take up five of the six available spots in this Asia Cup, leaving four teams to compete for the sixth spot. Singapore and Hong Kong from the Eastern region and UAE and Kuwait from the Western zone will compete for a spot in the event.
