South Africa has given many legends to cricket. From Jack kallis to Ab De Villiers. At the same time, many South African players have played for other countries due to several reasons, from migration to not getting chances in the team. Many went to dominate this sport and come out as legends.

1. Kevin Petersen

Stylish English batters have introduced switch hits in cricket. He has played many match-winning knocks for the England cricket team. Kevin Petersen was born in Cape Town, South Africa. He has played 100+ ODI, and test matches for England and has achieved several milestones.

2. Jason Roy 

An explosive white-ball batsman is one of the best openers in the cricket world. Roy has created many records in a concise period, time. Jason Roy was born in Durban, South Africa. He moved to England to play international cricket. Jason Roy has played IPL for Gujarat Lions and Delhi Daredevils.

3. Tom Curran 

Elder brother of Sam, Curran was born in Cape Town, South Africa. He is a right-hand fast bowler who can play a handy knock in the lower order. Tom Curran is a regular member of the England white-ball set up and has played over 100+ international matches for England.

4. Sir Andrew Strauss

Legendary England batsman has played 100 red-ball cricket for the England cricket team. Strauss is considered  one of the finest batsmen in England cricket history. He had scored a total of 7000+ runs in the test. Andrew Strauss' birthplace is Johannesburg, South Africa.

Right-hand fast bowler is an asset for kiwis in red ball cricket. Batsman often found it tough to face his dangerous bouncers. Neil Wagner was born on March 13, 1986, in South Africa. However, he migrated to New Zealand, where he got well-deserved recognition in cricket.

7. Devon Conway

A new sensation in cricket, Devon Conway’s, was born on July 8, 1991, in Johannesburg, South Africa. Devon Conway cricket journey is inspirational. He, has sacrificed a lot for his dream. Later he migrated to New Zealand and got the chance to represent black caps at the international level. In 2021, he started his test career with an impressive double century. 8. Glenn Phillips 

Glenn Phillips is another South African-born cricketer who is playing for the New zealand cricket team. Glenn made his international debut in 2017. 9. Johnathan Trott

10. Colin Munro 

Dynamic New Zealand batsman Colin Munro is famous for his aggressive batting. He is one of the best to ever play for New Zealand in T20 cricket. The Durban-born player has scored three T20 international hundred for his national team. Colin has represented many teams in various t20 franchise leagues.
