It is a very big thing to make a debut for your country and it is an even bigger thing to do so in your late thirties or early forties. But still, some cricketers have managed to do so and some Zimbabweans cricketers are also among them, today we are going to talk about the oldest debutants of the Zimbabwe national cricket team in test matches, which is a format in which Zimbabwe is currently ranked at number 10 in the International cricket council’s rankings. 1. Andy Waller

Andy Waller is a former Zimbabwean cricketer who played as a middle-order batsman for the Zimbabwe national cricket team. He is the oldest Zimbabwean cricketer to have made his Test match debut. He made his Test debut at the age of 37 years and 84 days against England at Bulawayo on 18th December 1996.

2. Malcolm Jarvis 

Malcolm Jarvis is a former Zimbabwean cricketer who played as a bowler for the Zimbabwe national cricket team. He is the second oldest Zimbabwean cricketer to have made his Test debut for Zimbabwe. He made his Test debut at the age of 36 years and 317 days against India on 18th October 1992 at Harare.

3. Andrew Pycroft 

Andrew Pycroft is a former Zimbabwean cricketer who played as a batsman for the Zimbabwe national cricket team. He is the third oldest Zimbabwean cricketer to have made his test debut for the Zimbabwe national cricket team. He made his Test debut at the age of 36 years and 134 days against India on 18th October 1992 at Harare.

4. Dave Houghton 

Dave Houghton is a former Zimbabwean cricketer who played as a wicketkeeper-batsman for the Zimbabwe national cricket team. He is the fourth oldest Zimbabwean cricketer to have made his Test debut for the Zimbabwean national cricket team. He made his Test debut at the age of 35 years and 117 days against India at Harare on 18th October 1992.

5. Iain Butchart 

Iain Butchart is a former Zimbabwean cricketer who played as an all-rounder for the Zimbabwe national cricket team. He is the fifth oldest Zimbabwean cricketer to have made his Test debut for the Zimbabwe national cricket team. He made his Test debut at the age of 34 years and 282 days against Pakistan on 15th February 1995 at Harare.

6. Ali Shah 

Ali Shah is a former Zimbabwean cricketer who played as an all-rounder for the Zimbabwe national cricket team. He is the sixth oldest Zimbabwean cricketer to have made his Test debut for the Zimbabwe national cricket team. He made his Test debut at the age of 33 years and 86 days against New Zealand on 1st November 1992 at Bulawayo.

7. Charlie Lock 

Charlie Lock is a former Zimbabwean cricketer who played as a bowler for the Zimbabwe national cricket team. He is the seventh oldest Zimbabwean to have made his Test debut for the Zimbabwe national cricket team. Lock made his debut at the age of 33 years and 33 days against South Africa on 13th October 1995 at Harare.

8. Kevin Arnott 

Kevin Arnott is a former Zimbabwean cricketer who played as a batter for the Zimababwe national cricket team. He is the eighth oldest Zimbabwean cricketer to have made his Test debut for the Zimbabwe national cricket team. He made his Test debut at the age of 31 years and 224 days against India on 18th October 1992 at Harare.

9. Greg Lamb 

Greg Lamb is a former Zimbabwean cricketer who played as a bowler for the Zimbabwean national cricket team. He is the ninth oldest Zimbabwean to have made his Test debut for the Zimbabwe national cricket team. He made his Test debut at the age of 30 years and 181 days against Pakistan on 1 September 2011 at Bulawayo.
