Zimbabwe's national cricket team is one of the 12 international cricket teams with a Test status, which means that they are full members of the (ICC) International Cricket Council. Currently, they are ranked 10th in the ICC Men’s Test team rankings. Zimbabwe last played a Test match in July 2021 against Bangladesh. Having and maintaining a good batting average is a tough job, and only one Zimbabwean cricketer has ever managed to have a batting average of more than 50. 1. Andy Flower 

Andy Flower is a former Zimbabwean cricketer who played as a wicketkeeper-batsman for the Zimbabwe national cricket team. He made his Test debut in 1992 against India and played 63 Test matches for the Zimbabwe national cricket team. He has the highest career batting average for Zimbabwe in Test matches and is the only Zimbabwean cricketer to have an average of 50+. Andy flower has an average of 51.54 in 112 innings. 2. David Houghton 

David Houghton is a former Zimbabwean cricketer who played as a wicketkeeper-batsman for the Zimbabwe national cricket team. He made his Test debut against India in 1992 and played 22 Test matches for his national team. Houghton has the second-highest batting average by a Zimbabwean cricketer in Test matches. He has a batting average of 43.05 in only 36 innings.

3. Murray Goodwin 

Murray Goodwin is a former Zimbabwean cricketer who played as a batter for the Zimbabwe national cricket team. Goodwin made his Test debut in 1998 against Sri Lanka and played 19 Test matches for his national team. He has the third-highest batting average by a Zimbabwean cricketer in Test matches. Goodwin has a batting average of 42.84 in 37 innings.

4. Sean Williams 

Sean Williams is a Zimbabwean cricketer who captains the Zimbabwe national cricket team in Test matches. He made his Test debut in 2013 against the West Indies and has played 14 Test matches till now. Williams has the fourth-highest batting average by a Zimbabwean cricketer in Test matches. He has a batting average of 41.36 in 27 innings.

5. Brendan Taylor 

Brendan Taylor is a former Zimbabwean cricketer who played as a wicketkeeper-batsman for the Zimbabwe national cricket team. He made his Test debut in 2004 against Sri Lanka and played 34 Test matches for the Zimbabwe national cricket team. He has the fifth-highest batting average in Test matches by a Zimbabwean cricketer. He has a batting average of 36.25 in 68 innings.

6. Sikandar Raza 

Sikandar Raza is a Zimbabwean international cricketer who plays as an all-rounder for the Zimbabwe national cricket team. He made his Test debut in 2013 against Pakistan and has played 17 Test matches till now. Raza has the sixth-highest batting average by a Zimbabwean cricketer in Test matches. He has a batting average of 35.96 in 33 innings.

7. Craig Ervine 

Craig Ervine is a Zimbabwean cricketer who captains the Zimbabwe national cricket team in ODIs and T20Is. He made his Test debut in 2011 against Bangladesh and has played 18 Test matches till now. Ervine has the seventh-highest batting average by a Zimbabwean cricketer in Test matches. He has a batting average of 35.52 in 36 innings.

Tatenda Taibu is a former Zimbabwean cricketer who played as a wicketkeeper-batsman for the Zimbabwean national cricket team. Hamilton Masakadza is a former Zimbabwean cricketer who played as a batter for the Zimbabwe national cricket team.
