Zimbabwe's national cricket team is one of the 12 international cricket teams with a Test status, which means they are full members of the International Cricket Council. Currently, they are ranked 13th in the ICC Men’s One Day International team rankings. Scoring a fifty looks very easy when someone is watching a match on television, but in reality, it is a tough job to score a 50 in an ODI match. Many Zimbabwean cricketers have scored at least one fifty for their national team. 1. Andy Flower
Andy Flower has the record of making the most number of fifties by a Zimbabwean national team cricketer in One Day Internationals. He has made 55 fifties in 213 ODI matches he played for his national side. In 208 innings, he scored 6,786 runs and is Zimbabwe’s highest run scorer in One Day Internationals.
2. Grant Flower
Grant Flower is the younger brother of Andrew Flower, who has the most fifties by a Zimbabwean cricketer in One Day Internationals. Grant Flower made 40 fifties for his national side in ODI matches and is second on the list of Zimbabweans with the most fifties in One Day Internationals. Grant played 221 One Day International matches for Zimbabwe.
3. Brendan Taylor
Brendan Taylor is a former Zimbabwean wicket-keeper-batsman who is regarded as one of the best Zimbabwean batters of all time. He has made the third most number of fifties in One Day Internationals for the Zimbabwe cricket team. He made 39 fifties in the 202 ODI games he played for Zimbabwe national cricket team.
4. Hamilton Masakadza
Hamilton Masakadza is a former Zimbabwean cricket player who played for the Zimbabwe cricket team from 2009-2019. He has made the fourth most number of the fifties for the Zimbabwe national cricket team in One Day International matches. He made 34 fifties in the 208 innings he batted in. Masakadza played 209 ODI matches for Zimbabwe national cricket team and also made five centuries in them.
5. Sean Williams
Sean Williams is a Zimbabwean cricketer, the current captain of the Zimbabwe national cricket team in Test matches. He is fifth on the list of Zimbabweans with the most fifties in One Day Internationals. He has made 37 fifties in 145 games he has played for the Zimbabwe national cricket team in One Day Internationals till now.
6. Alistair Campbell
Alistair Campbell is a former captain of the Zimbabwe cricket team and he is sixth on the list of most fifties hit by a Zimbabwean cricketer in One Day Internationals. He has made 30 fifties for Zimbabwe national cricket team in 184 innings and played 188 One Day International matches for Zimbabwe. Campbell played for the Zimbabwe cricket team from 1992-2002.
7. Tatenda Taibu
Tatenda Taibu is a former Zimbabwean wicket-keeper-batsman who played for the Zimbabwe cricket team from 2001-2012 and represented Zimbabwe in 149 One Day International matches. He has scored the seventh most number of the fifties for Zimbabwe in One Day International matches. He made 22 fifties in only 136 innings for his national team.
8. Vusi Sibanda
Vusi Sibanda is a Zimbabwean cricketer who last played for Zimbabwe in 2016. Sibanda is an opening batsman and is one of the most successful opening batsmen from Zimbabwe. He played 127 ODIs for Zimbabwe and made 21 fifties in the 126 innings he batted in for his national team.
9. Sikandar Raza
Sikandar Raza is a Zimbabwean cricketer who was born in Pakistan in 1986. Raza is one of the best players in the Zimbabwe cricket team currently and has made the ninth most number of fifties for the Zimbabwe national cricket team in One Day Internationals. He has played 120 ODI matches till now and made 20 fifties in them along with six centuries.
10. Elton Chigumbura
Elton Chigumbura is a former Zimbabwe national cricketer who played for the Zimbabwe national cricket team from 2004-2020. He played 210 One Day International matches for his national team and made 19 fifties in them. He batted in 195 innings and even made two centuries for Zimbabwe. He had an ODI average of 25.37.
