1. Ruturaj Gaikwad
Gaikwad debuted for Chennai Super Kings in 2020. Since the whole team did not perform consistently, he individually could not too. But 2021 was his year. Hi won the orange cap at the end of the tournament for the highest runs at 638. He scored one century against Rajasthan Royals. He also won the emerging player of the year award. Chennai had found a reliable player for the future.
2. Faf du Plessis
DuPlessis has been a CSK loyalist for years now. He showed great style with his bat in his last season for CSK, for he was bought by RCB the following season. He was competing with his opening partner Gaikwad for the orange cap. He scored 633 runs with 23 sixes and 60 fours, his highest score being an unbeaten 95.
3. Harshal Patel
Patel debuted in 2012 after promising performances. But his career peak came nine years later when RCB bought him in 2021. He was the breakthrough bowler for the team. He took home the purple cap for picking 32 wickets in 15 matches with an economy of 8.6. He secured five in his debut for RCB and picked a hat-trick against Mumbai Indians, dismissing Hardik Pandya, Kieran Pollard, and Rahul Chahar.
4. Avesh Khan
Hailing from Indore, he was the highest wicket-taker in the 2018 to 19 Ranji trophy tournament. Later he was bought by Delhi daredevils and continues to play for the Delhi capitals. The 25-year-old is the highest wicket-taker for the Delhi capitals with 24 wickets. Nobody was expecting him to be the breakthrough bowler for their team. He kept getting the big wickets of players like MS Dhoni, Virat Kohli, and David Warner.
5. KL Rahul
He played as an opener for Kings XI Punjab and scored 626 runs for the whole season with a strike rate of 138.20. He also achieved the highest average amongst all the other batters of the season. He scored an unbeaten 98 against Chennai Super Kings. Not only is he a reliable batsman, he is also an able wicket-keeper.
6. Sanju Samson
The captain of Rajasthan Royals proved his mettle with the bat and scored consistent runs in all the games. He scored a century against KXIP. Samsung also reached the 3000 run mark during the season.
7. Rishabh Pant
Pant, who is touted to be the future of Indian cricket, never disappoints in the T20 format. He scored 419 runs out of which were crucial match-winning 50s.
8. Glenn Maxwell
Maxwell was traded to be bought by Royal Challengers Bangalore and proved his worth with some aggressive innings. He was the highest scorer for RCB and scored a total of 498 runs in 14 innings.
9. Shikhar Dhawan
India’s opener Shikhar Dhawan was a part of the Delhi Capitals in 2021. He scored a total of 587 runs for his team, with an average of 39.13 with his highest score being 92 runs against Kings XI Punjab.
10. Andre Russell
Russell has always been a loyal player to Kolkata Knight Riders since his debut in the IPL. This West Indian all-rounder is a plus point for the team. He took a five for Against Mumbai Indians Dismissing Kieron Pollard, Rahul Chahar, Krunal Pandya, Jasprit Bumrah, and Marco Jansen.
