Indian Premier League has witnessed some of the best wicketkeepers like MS Dhoni, Kumar Sangakkara, etc. Wicketkeepers will play some significant role in dismissals like stumping and run-out. Wicketkeepers must be fast to make stumping because even a fraction of a second will change the decision.   In this article, we will see wicketkeepers who have the most stumping in IPL history.

1. Mahendra Singh Dhoni 

Who else can you imagine? In the first position, we have the best wicketkeeper in IPL history, Mahendra Singh Dhoni. He has played 234 matches and has 39 dismissals in stumping itself. He has played for two teams, namely, Chennai Super Kings and Rising Pune Super Giants.

2. Dinesh Karthik

At number two, we have the skillful wicketkeeper Dinesh Karthik. He is one of the most unlucky players in cricket history. He has played 229 IPL games and has 34 stumping in IPL. He has played for many teams like Mumbai Indians, Kolkata Knight Riders, Delhi Capitals, etc.

3. Robin Uthappa 

Robin Uthappa grabbed the third position on the list. He played most of the games as wicket keeper and made many dismissals. He was swift behind the stumps and had 32 stumpings in IPL. He played 205 games and made 32 stumpings.  He has played for Kolkata Knight Riders and Chennai Super Kings.

4. Wirddhiman Saha 

At number four, we have Wirddhiman Saha. He was a gem of a cricketer and played many IPL games as a wicketkeeper. He has played 144 games and has 22 stumping in his career. He has played for Gujarat Titans, Sunrises Hyderabad, Chennai Super Kings, Kolkata Knight Riders, and Kings 11 Punjab.

5. Rishabh Pant 

At number five, we have young, dynamic wicketkeeper, Rishabh Pant. He is a left-handed attacking batter and tries to hit every ball out of the ground. He started his career with Delhi in 2016 and has 18 stumping in his name. As a young cricketer, he can reach the top three on the list.

6. Parthiv Patel 

Parthiv Patel made his IPL debut in 2008 and played for several teams like Chennai Super Kings, Mumbai Indians, Royal Challengers Bangalore, Deccan Chargers, etc. He was an aggressive opening batter and a talented wicketkeeper. He made 16 dismissals in his career.

7. Adam Gilchrist

Adam Gilchrist is a legendary wicketkeeper from Australia. He made his debut in 2008 and captained the Deccan Chargers team for two years. He led the Deccan team in 2009 and won the championship for them. Later, he played for the Punjab team.  He played as a wicketkeeper and made 16 stumping in his career.

8. Quinton De Kock 

In the eighth position, we have an explosive batter from South Africa, Quinton De Kock. He started his IPL career in 2013 and mainly played mostly as a wicketkeeper. He is currently playing for Lucknow Super Giants. He has made 15 stumpings so far.

9. Sanju Samson 

Sanju Samson is a talented batter from Kerala and currently playing for Rajasthan Royals. He has 12 stumping in IPL and played for two teams Delhi Daredevils and Rajasthan Royals. He is the captain of the Rajasthan Royals and led the team to the finals in the 2022 season.

10. Naman Ojha 

Naman Ojha took the last position on the list. He is a Right-handed batter and played for teams like Delhi Daredevils, Rajasthan Royals, and Sunrises Hyderabad. He played 112 games in IPL and has ten stumping in his entire career.
