Few of the formidable batting line-ups that have dominated the IPL throughout the years are so unbelievable that it would be difficult to believe them. In the T20 format and IPL, the powerplay consists of the first six overs. The two fielders there are merely serving as boundary riders beyond the 30-yard circle, allowing the batting teams to develop their innings. The new ball with the bowlers is also a benefit. Let us look at the teams with the most runs in the powerplay in IPL.

 

1. KKR – 105 Vs. RCB

The two-time IPL winner Kolkata Knight Riders have taken the top spot on the rankings. Sunil Narine and Chris Lynn, for example, have lit up the stage with hits of 54(17) and 50. (22). KKR have amassed a total of 105/0 in the six powerplay overs.

2. CSK – 100 Vs. KXIP

Chennai Super Kings, who batted first against Kings XI Punjab in their opening league match, set a goal of 205 runs. With Dwayne Smith's 66(43) and Faf Du Plessis' 67(45) innings included, CSK reached 100/2 in the power play phase, breaking the previous international T20 powerplay batting record. But Punjab's solid batting helped them get their goal and win the game by six wickets.

3. CSK – 90 Vs. MI

Chennai placed a large total on the board for a chase in a league game against Mumbai Indians, and their top order scored 90 runs in the powerplay, i.e in just 6 overs. Though the first fifty runs got made in just 16 balls, the run rate slowed in the following three overs.

4. KTK – 87 Vs. RR

Mahela Jayawardene, captain of Kochi Tuskers Kerala, scored 87 runs with two wickets in the powerplay against Rajasthan Royals in the 61st league game. The two fielders there are merely serving as boundary riders beyond the 30-yard circle, allowing the batting teams to develop their innings. It has included Brendon McCullum's thunderous 29*(12) strike rate of 241.60.

5. KXIP – 86 Vs. SRH

The aggressive pursuit of 212 runs against SRH got launched by Manan Vohra's 47(20) and Wriddhiman Saha's 54(26) thunderous strikes. In the powerplay overs, Kings XI Punjab's score reached 86/1. Later, with 1.2 overs remaining, KXIP had successfully chased down the mark by six wickets.

6. MI – 84 Vs. DC

MI has scored a total of 194 runs while batting first. The top-order batters for MI, such as Surya Kumar Yadav, Evin Lewis, and Ishan Kishan, played aggressive shots that helped MI reach 84 runs in the first six overs. DC was able to quickly catch up to MI's score of 194. This was due to the knocks of Jason Roy & Rishabh Pant.

7. DC – 84 Vs. DD

The IPL 2009's deadly combination of ruthless and reliable batting has been the Deccan Chargers. In a game packed with action against the Delhi Daredevils, Adam Gilchrist scored 85*(35). Gilchrist was named Man of the Match after DC scored 84/1 in their first six powerplay overs and defeated the opposition's total of 155 runs by taking six wickets.

8. MI – 83 Vs. SRH

Ishan Kishan, the opening batsman for the Mumbai Indians, had a magical start as his team sought the improbable playoff position for the season. His 32-ball 84 put the team's powerplay score among the top 10 powerplay scores in history. Later, Suryakumar-special was added to the beginning, bringing the team's winning total of 235 in 20 overs. Unfortunately, the victory did not help the squad secure a playoff position.

9. KXIP – 82 Vs. MI

Wankhede Stadium's has seaming conditions. Punjab opened the batting. In the first six of their powerplay overs, they have made (82/1). Wriddhiman Saha stabbed the MI bowlers by smashing 93-run innings at a 169.57 scoring rate. However, Mumbai ultimately fell short of the 231-run goal, and Punjab triumphed by seven runs.

10. DC – 81 Vs. PBKS

David Warner and Prithvi Shaw, the Delhi openers, decimated the PBKS opening bowlers all over the field as they attempted to chase down PBKS's meager 115-run total, recording their second-best Powerplay score in tournament history. DC won the race in the eleventh over. This was due to Warner's unbeaten 50+ innings. The team's season NNR received a much-needed boost, therefore.
