1. Akila Dananjaya

Another spinner from Sri Lanka has managed to make his way to the two most successful franchises of the league CSK in 2013 and MI in 2018 but has just managed to play only one game in which he has gone wicketless.

2. Wanindu Hasaranga

The 24-year-old leggie from Sri Lanka who was brought in as a replacement for Adam Zampa in mid of 2021 season by RCB was able to leave his footmarks behind and was able to fetch a huge sum of over 10 crores in the 2022 mega auction he was again picked by RCB he has a very bright future in IPL and International cricket and has picked 11 wickets in just 10 matches with an average of 25 runs.

3. Sanath Jayasuriya

A legendary All rounder from Sri Lanka who has more than 18,000 international runs to his name and has played 31 T20 for his country and scored 629 runs with an average of 23.3 and 19 wickets to his name. Jayasuriya has just played the first three seasons of IPL from 2008-2010 representing  Mumbai Indians which was then captained by Legend Sachin Tendulkar. The opening batsman has scored 1153 runs at an average of 26.81. The player also has a small stint in IPL as a bowler where he has delivered in 25 matches and has taken 5 wickets with an economy of 8.1. The batter has the highest score of 76 runs. 8. Mahela Jayawardene

The former Sri Lankan Captain has played for three different franchises in IPL Kochi Tuskers Kerala (2011), Kings XI Punjab, and Delhi Daredevils (now Delhi Capitals). He has also captained the IPL side Kochi Tuskers Kerala in 2011, Punjab in 2010, and then Delhi in total he has captained 30 matches in which he has just won 10 matches. And in total, he has played 80 IPL matches in which he has scored 1802 runs with an average of 28.6 runs. He has also scored an IPL century and 10 half-centuries. In the past many seasons of the league, he has been an integral part of Mumbai Indians management as Head coach of the side and has a very successful career as of now with many IPL trophies to his name.

9. Kumar Sangakkara

Another legend from the Island nation who has achieved so much in international cricket has a decent IPL career an excellent wicketkeeper-batsman has represented 3 IPL franchises Kings XI Punjab (2008-2010), Deccan Chargers Hyderabad (2011-12) and Sunrises Hyderabad (2013). He also captained Sunrises Hyderabad in 2013. He has a total of 1687 runs in his IPL career with 10 half-centuries and with an average of 25.95. The wicketkeeper also has a unique record to his name with having the most dismissal in a match between Royal challengers Bangalore and Deccan chargers in 2011 he dismissed five batsmen the most by any wicketkeeper in a single match. In January 2021 he was appointed as Director of the Board of Rajasthan Royals.

10. Lasith Malinga

The absolute legend of the game “THE YORKER KING” from Sri Lanka has played 122 IPL games and has represented only one franchise Mumbai Indians and has taken 170 wickets and was the highest wicket-taker in IPL for many years and retired from the IPL before 2021 season he last played IPL in 2019 in which the side emerge as the winner.
