The Indian cricket fans are gearing up to enjoy the 15th edition of the Indian Premier League. The excitement of this edition is at it's peak as two new teams have been added. This year all teams have a fresh squad as a mega auction has swapped the players. All franchises tried their best to build a strong squad. They tried to cover up all the bases, but it is certain that all teams will have one void left in the squad. Some franchises are missing a solid top-order, while some aren't able to find a perfect bowling attack.

1. Chennai Super Kings

The champion of the previous year's IPL, Chennai, has successfully thrived on their auction plans as this team has managed to get back their core players. However, this team lacks a power-hitting batter at the top. Faf used to give a solid start to this team, but now he has been part of the RCB.

2. Mumbai Indians

Mumbai Indians have a hot and cold IPL auction. The five times champions have managed to get back their young and talented batter Ishan. They have also got Jofra. But he is available only from the next season. Bumrah has to do more this season as the other Pacers are not looking promising.

3. Kolkata Knight Riders

Kolkata Knight Riders are looking for a fresh side as they have built up a fresh squad for upcoming seasons. Kolkata franchise has top-quality all-rounders. But their pace department is looking delicate. Pat Cummins isn't that threat in T20 cricket as he is in red-ball cricket.

4. Delhi Capitals

Delhi Capitals is the most improved IPL team of the last three years. This team has never won the IPL trophy. Delhi is looking like a tournament-winning team on paper. However, Just like other teams, this team also has a few weaknesses. One major weakness is their finisher. Pant and Powell will have to do more in this season.

5. Royal Challengers Bangalore

Royal Challengers Bangalore has one of the strongest fan bases in the IPL. Unfortunately, this team has never won any IPL trophy in 14 seasons. Bangalore is looking like a decent side this season. But their spin attack has become weak after the departure of Chahal.

6. Lucknow Supergiants

Lucknow Supergiants is going to make their IPL debut in the 2022 edition. This franchise has done an outstanding performance in the auction. They have managed to build a strong team. However, the franchise weakness is not having perfect backups.

7. Rajasthan Royals

Rajasthan Royals is the champion of the inaugural event of the IPL. But this team hasn't won the trophy after that season. Rajasthan is looking the top side in this year's edition. Still, there's one void left in this team and that is an all-rounder. All-rounders play a vital role in T20 cricket, and not having a decent all-rounder might cost Rajasthan in this season.

8. Gujarat Titans

Just like Lucknow, the Gujarat's Titans franchise is going to make their IPL debut. However, this team has failed to impress fans and experts with their average auction. Gujarat opening pair is looking less explosive in comparison of other teams. Jason Roy pulling out from the tournament has increased the headache of this team.

9. Sunrises Hyderabad

Sunrises Hyderabad is one of the most successful IPL franchise. The champions of the 2016 Edition had their most horrible season in 2021. This year the Hyderabad team is not looking like a tournament-winning team. One reason behind this is inexperienced players.

10. Punjab Kings

Punjab Kings is one of those IPL teams that hasn't won the IPL trophy since 2008. This team didn't make a blunder in the auction and built up a solid team. Punjab Kings has covered all departments, but their spin department isn't looking decent one. Rahul Chahar will have to do more work in this season.
