There are many reasons behind this, like lack of form, fitness issues, unavailability and more.

Marnus is a rising star of cricket. The Australian player has managed to get the number 1 batsman ranking within a short time. After watching his international performance, fans were expecting to see him in this year's IPL. However, the number one ranked test batsman couldn't get any bid.

5. Martin Guptil

Martin Guptil is a known name in the shortest format. He is sitting at number 2 in the leading run-scorers list. Right from the start, Guptil has Never won the trust of the IPL franchise. Just like other years he remains unsold in this years auction also.

6. Adil Rashid

The Indian pitches are the pinnacle for any spin bowler. Adil Rashid bowling in IPL would have been a sight to watch for the fans. Unfortunately, he remains unsold in the IPL auction. Rashid is a proven T20 spinner who plays in almost every franchise cricket.

7. Eoin Morgan

Eoin Morgan led the Kolkata franchise to the final in the last edition of the IPL. Unfortunately, the English captain didn't manage to find any bidder for him in the auction. Morgan was extremely bad with the bat in last year's auction. This reason seems to be one of the reasons behind this.

Kane Richardson is a white-ball specialist bowler. The Australian pacer was a part of RCB in 2021. While looking at the popularity and demand of overseas Pacers it was expected that Kane would find a team for sure. Unfortunately, his name went into the unsold players list.

Imran Tahir is one of the iconic names of T20 cricket. The 40-year-old bowler Continues to trouble batters in various franchise cricket leagues. Sadly, He couldn't find any IPL franchise in this year's auction. Age and availability of local spinners can be a few reasons for this.

10. Steve Smith

Smith is a modern-day Bradman. The Australian star featured in the IPL Auction 2022 after getting released by the Delhi franchise. While many teams were looking for captain material players, Smith's chances of getting sold went high. Unfortunately,  he didn't find any bidder, and remains unsold.
