Nicknamed the Proteas, the South African Women's Cricket team represents South Africa in women’s cricket. The team is a perfect example of women's empowerment, and their performance in the game is yet a confirmation of the same. The South African Women’s Cricket team made its Test debut in 1960 against England. Test matches in the only form of cricket played by South African Women internationally. Laura Wolvaardt is a right-hand batsman. On the grounds of Benoni, she made her ODI debut on 7 February 2016 against England. She is an opener in the current squad. Wolvaardt played 62 matches and scored 2311 runs in 61 innings with an average of 44.44.

2. L Lee

Lizelle Lee is a right-hand batsman. She made her ODI debut on 20 September 2013 against Bangladesh at Benoni. She is an opener in the current squad. She played 93 matches and scored 3234 runs in 92 innings with an average of 38.50.

3. D Van Niekerk

Dane van Niekerk is a right-hand batsman and Leg-break bowler. On 8 March 2009, Niekerk made her ODI debut against West Indies at Newcastle. She is an all-rounder in the current squad. Niekerk played 107 matches and scored 2175 runs in 81 innings with an average of 36.25.

4. M Du Preez

Mignon Du Preez is a right-handed batsman and is a wicketkeeper in the current squad. On 22 January 2007, Preez made her ODI debut against Pakistan in Pretoria. She played 142 matches and scored 3554 runs in 129 innings with an average of 33.52.

5. Trisha Chetty

Trisha Chetty is a right-hand batsman in the South African cricket team and a wicketkeeper in the current squad. On 20 January 2007, she made her ODI debut against Pakistan at Pretoria. Chetty played 119 matches and scored 2599 runs in 103 innings with an average of 29.20.

6. C Brits

Cri-Zelda Brits is a right-handed batsman. She made her ODI debut against India at Johannesburg on 7 March 2002. Brits played 69 matches and scored 1622 runs in 63 innings with an average of 28.96. On 15 February 2013, she played her last game against Sri Lanka at Cuttack.

7. M Kapp

Marizanne Kapp is a right-hand batsman, a right-arm medium pacer, and an all-rounder in the current squad. Kapp made her ODI debut against Australia at Newcastle on 10 March 2009. She played 118 matches and scored 2017 runs in 98 innings with an average of 28.81.

8. M Terblanche

Magdalena Terblanche is a former right-hand batsman and wicketkeeper. She made her ODI debut against Ireland at Belfast on 5 August 1997. Terblanche played 61 matches and scored 1256 runs in 59 innings with an average of 23.69. On 14 August 2008, she played her last game against England at Shenley.

9. CL Tryon

Chloe-Lesleigh Tryon is a right-hand batsman and slow left-arm orthodox bowler. On 21 October 2011, Tryon made her ODI debut against England at Potchefstroom. She played 79 matches and scored 1264 runs in 64 innings with an average of 23.07.

10. S Luus

Sune Luus is a right-hand batsman who is an all-rounder in the current squad. On 6 September 2012, she made her ODI debut against Bangladesh at Dhaka. She played 88 matches and scored  1261 runs in 71 innings with an average of 21.74.
