The IPL 2022 auction is set to take place in the second week of the february. This time the mega auction is going to happen. Fans are really excited and looking forward to seeing which player's their teams are going to buy In the auction. Many top national and international players are going to register their names in the auction. Some of them are expected to fetch big amounts, while many star players are likely to go unsold. However, they still might find a place In squad as two new franchises are going to join the IPL next year.

1. Steve Smith 

Smith is a modern-day great. The former Australian player is miles ahead of any other batsmans in red-ball cricket. Smith has a decent record in T20 also. He has played more than hundred IPL matches. However, he is not looking in the scheme of things for IPL franchises, and he might not be able to find any bid In the auction.

2. Ajinkya Rahane 

Rahane had a dream IPL debut. The star Indian batsman has scored two centuries in this tournament. However, his graph has  drastically reduced in the IPL. He was a part of delhi capitals last year but rarely got to play any match. Rahane might goes unsold in the auction.

However, his performance has gone down in the last few years. With many young and talented indian spinners are coming in the auction, franchises might avoid going for a Chawla.
