Joining Virat Kohli at the top of the list comes Lucknow Supergiants captain KL Rahul. Rahul made his IPL debut in 2013 against KKR. He came into the limelight in 2016 for his stellar batting performance for RCB. Within six years, KL Rahul became the joint highest-paid cricketer in the IPL. In 2022, LSG retained KL Rahul for 17 Crore INR.
3. Chris Morris
The most shocking name in this list and the highest-paid foreigner ever to play in the IPL is the South African all-rounder Chris Morris. Rajasthan Royals bought Morris for a whopping 16.25 Crore INR in the 2021 IPL auction for his all-rounder ability. However, Morris had an average season as he took 15 wickets with an economy of 9.17 and scored only 67 runs with an average of 13.4.
4. Yuvraj Singh

Ravindra Jadeja has scored 4000+ runs and has taken 132 wickets in 210 IPL matches. Jadeja has proved to be a match-winner for CSK with his all-rounder ability. In 2022 CSK retained him for a whopping 16 Crore INR and also gave him the captaincy of Chennai Super Kings. Australia's test captain Pat Cummins was bought by Kolkata Knight Riders for 15.5 Crore INR at the 2020 IPL auction. However, Cummins failed to justify his price tag as he had an average IPL season with 12 wickets at an average of 34.08. Pat Cummins was the most expensive player at the 2020 IPL auction.
9. Ishan Kishan
The 24-year-old Indian wicket-keeper has gone through hot and cold form since 2020. After having a brilliant 2020 season, Ishan Kishan struggled to find his form back in the 2021 and 2022 IPL editions. However, he has proved himself as a matchwinner in the blue jersey. 10. MS Dhoni
The most successful Indian captain and one of the finest wicket-keepers in world cricket, MS Dhoni, is the last name on this list. Mahendra Singh Dhoni has 3 ICC trophies, 4 IPL trophies, and 2 Champions League trophies under his belt. Dhoni has scored 4878 runs with an average of 39 in the IPL. MSD was the most expensive pick at the very first IPL player auction. The 40-year-old finisher was retained by CSK for 15 Crore INR in the 2018 IPL edition.
