The highest stage for any player to display his talent is international cricket. A person must put in tremendous effort and dedication to be selected for his country's cricket squad. Many athletes have competed for their respective countries in international competitions. It's a common misconception that a father wants to see his successful son advance in the same field. In the history of cricket, father-son teams have appeared frequently. Let us look at cricketers with a cricket family background.

1. Stuard Broad – Chris Broad

One of the best red-ball bowlers in all of cricket is Stuart Broad. He is the offspring of the opening batsman and right-arm medium-pace bowler Chris Broad. Stuart bowls right-handed and bats left, just like his father. The father-son team made news recently after Chris penalized Stuart for breaking the behavior rule during a Test match. The IPL has never seen Stuart Broad on the field.

2. Mohinder Amarnath – Lala Amarnath

The career of Mohinder Amarnath was characterized by grit. He typically performed at his best under trying circumstances. He gained notoriety for winning consecutive man-of-the-match accolades near the conclusion of the 1983 World Cup, which India won despite being the underdog. After the World Cup, he went through a rough patch of form but quickly recovered. Lala Amarnath, a renowned Indian player in his era, was his father.

3. Arjun Tendulkar – Sachin Tendulkar

Indian cricketer Arjun Sachin Tendulkar hails from Mumbai, Maharashtra. He is Sachin Tendulkar's son, a former cricketer. He is a lower-order left-handed batter as well as a left-handed medium-quick bowler. He participates in domestic cricket for the Goa cricket team. He had participated in the junior teams and the Mumbai cricket squad. He was recently chosen for the IPL's Mumbai Indians.

4. Stuart Binny – Roger Binny

One of the several pace all-rounders India tried in the early 2010s was Stuart Binny. Despite having a somewhat average career, he did occasionally display talent. He now holds the record for an Indian bowler's best ODI bowling stats. Roger Binny, a former Indian all-rounder, was his father.

5. Sanjay Manjrekar – Vijay Manjrekar

Currently well-known as a cricket commentator, Sanjay Manjrekar was once a member of the Indian cricket team. He played in 37 tests and 74 ODIs throughout a rather brief but respectable career. He was able to compete in the 1992 and 1996 World Cups. Despite having a brief international career, he performed well in the Ranji Trophy. His father was the illustrious former Indian cricketer Vijay Manjrekar, who represented India from 1951 to 1965.

6. Sam Curran – Kevin Curran

Tom Curran and Sam Curran are currently representing England in international cricket. They are both all-around pace bowlers. They even played for CSK and RR, respectively, in the 2020 IPL. Kevin Curran, the father of Sam and Tom, represented Zimbabwe in international cricket. Ben Curran is the second son of Kevin. Ben is participating in Zimbabwean domestic cricket. It will be intriguing to see whatever cricketing nation Ben Curran plays for.

7. Shaun Marsh – Mitchell Marsh – Geoff Marsh

The sons of former Australian cricketer Geoff Marsh are Shaun and Mitchell. While his brother is an all-around pace bowler, Shaun Marsh bats left-handed. Both brothers hold distinctive IPL records. The first batsman to receive the Orange Cap was Shaun. Marsh is the only player to have represented Rising Pune Supergiant, Pune Warriors, Deccan Chargers, and Sunrisers Hyderabad for two franchises in two locations.

8. Jonny Bairstow – David Bairstow

The early life of English wicket-keeper batsman Jonny Bairstow has recently garnered a lot of interest on social media. David Bairstow, his father, was a professional cricketer as well. Unfortunately, David's financial problems led to his suicide. Jonny, though, has brought honor to England. Bairstow was a member of the England team that won the 2019 World Cup.

9. Mansur Ali Khan Pataudi – Iftikhar Ali Khan Pataudi

For India, Mansur Ali Khan Pataudi participated in 46 tests. At the incredibly early age of 21, he began captaining. Under his leadership, India achieved its first-ever away test victory. His career was impacted by vision problems in one eye. Iftikhar Ali Khan Pataudi, a former Indian player, was his father.

10. Ashok Mankad – Vinoo Mankad

Former Indian cricketer Ashok Mankad competed from 1969 to 1978. He participated in 22 tests during that time, but the opportunities he had were extremely scarce. In the batting order, he didn't have a designated spot either. He used a variety of strokes. Sadly, his reputation as a top-notch player in the Ranji Trophy did not carry over to the national squad.
