Islamabad United (IU) is a franchise team held by Leonine Global Investments via its sports entity Leonine Global Sports, owned by Amna Naqvi and Ali Naqvi.

The team was founded in 2015, and its home ground is Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium. The stadium has a vast capacity of 25000 people. The team competes in PSL.

Islamabad United has won two PSL titles to date. They won the first PSL championship, beating Quetta Gladiators in the final, and their second title in the third season of the PSL after beating Peshawar Zalmi in the finale by three wickets.

1. Luke Ronchi 

Luke Ronchi is a right-hand wicketkeeper batsman. This New Zealand player started his career with Islamabad United in 2018 and has played till 2020. He has scored 1020 runs in 31 games playing, 31 innings with an average of 36.42 with a strike rate of 166.12. He has scored ten fifties with 50 sixes.

2. Asif Ali 

Asif Ali is a right-handed middle-order batsman who made his PSL debut in 2016 with Islamabad United and is currently associated with the same team. He has played 67 games and has scored 1016 runs in 57 innings with an average of 23.09 and a strike rate of 158.75. He has scored three fifties but has scored the most sixes, 79 sixes, for the team.

3. Shadab Khan 

Shadab Khan is a right-handed Pakistani allrounder who, is playing in PSL since 2017 for Islamabad United and has scored 800 runs in 61 games playing 49 innings with an average of 18.60 and a strike rate of 137.69. He has scored 43 sixes and five fifty-plus scores.

4. Colin Munro 

Colin Munro is a New Zealand-based left-hand opening batsman. He has played for Islamabad United for two years, 2020 to 2022. Munro has played 18 games and has scored 698 runs with a strike rate of 154.08 and an average of 49.85 with seven fifties and 35 sixes.

5. Alexander Daniel Hales 

Alexander Daniel Hales is a right-handed English opening batsman. Playing since 2018, he has hit 623 runs in 19 games. Hales has maintained a batting average of 34.61 and a strike rate of 143.54 in the matches. AD Hales has proved his excellent batting skills by smashing three fifties and eighteen sixes.

6. Mohammad Hussain Talat 

Mohammad Hussain Talat is a left-hand Pakistani All-rounder. He has played for Islamabad United from 2017 to 2021. He went on to play 40 games and has scored 619 runs in 32 innings with a strike rate of 117.90 and a batting average of 22.92. He has scored one fifty-plus score, including 17 sixes.

7. Faheem Ashraf 

Faheem Ashraf is a left-hand bowling allrounder from Pakistan. His PSL career began in 2018 with Islamabad United, and he is currently associated with the same team. He has an average of 22.21 in 49 games playing 37 innings and scoring 488 runs with a strike rate of 146.10. He has two fifty-plus scores and 26 sixes.

8. Dwayne Romel Smith 

Dwayne Romel Smith is a West Indian allrounder. He has played with Islamabad United for only one year, from 2016 to 2017. Smith played 13 games in that season and scored 427 runs with an average of 38.81 and a strike rate of 110.90. He scored four fifties in that season and 15 sixes.

9. Misbah-Ul-Haq Khan Niazi 

Misbah-ul-Haq Khan Niazi is a right-handed middle-order batsman. He has played for Islamabad United from 2016 to 2018. Niazi played 26 games in that two seasons and scored 381 runs in 19 innings with a strike rate of 109.16 and an average of 25.40. He scored one fifty-plus score and 13 sixes.

10. Shane Robert Watson 

Shane Robert Watson is an Australian right-handed batsman. He played for Islamabad United from 2016 to 2017 and played 15 games and scored 365 runs with an average of 26.07 and a strike rate of 125.86 with one fifty and 21 sixes.
