Test cricket is a form of first-class cricket played between two teams. A test match consists of four innings and is lasts up to five days. 1. Brian Lara

Kumar Sangakkara is another player who accomplished the 10000- run feat in 195 innings. He is the first Sri Lankan to score past 10k runs in test cricket. He was the heart of the Sri Lankan team lineup during his playing days. He scored 12400 runs in test cricket and was the fastest 11k and 12k runs scorer in test cricket history.

4. Ricky Ponting

Ricky Ponting is the only Australian to score 13000 runs in both Test and ODI cricket. He registered 41 hundred and scored over 13000 runs in test cricket. When he crossed the 10k runs mark, he was the third and the fastest Australian to do so. He scored 10k runs in 196 innings.

5. Rahul Dravid

Rahul Dravid is the rock for the Indian test cricket team. He played at No.3 and can bat for hours and days. He scored over 13k runs in test cricket and was one of the best batters of the format. He scored 10000 runs in 206 innings and the second fastest Indian in Test cricket.

6. Younis Khan

Younis Khan is the only player to enter the 10000-run club in test cricket. He scored 10000 runs in his last test series against West Indies. He left test cricket as the highest run-getter for Pakistan. He scored over 10k runs at an average of 52. He had more hundred than the fifties in test cricket. He scored the 10k runs in 208 innings.

7. Mahela Jayawardene

Mahela Jayawardene is the first Sri Lankan to cross 10k runs mark. He got it in 210 innings. Sangakkara and Jayawardene scored runs not only individually but also as one of the vital partners in the Sri Lankan lineup for almost 15 years. He scored over 11k runs and held the record for the highest individual test score by a Sri Lankan.

8. Sunil Gavaskar

There is no surprise that Sunil Gavaskar makes it to this list of fastest 10000 runs in test cricket. He was the first player in the game to score 10k runs in test cricket. He took 212 innings and scored 10k runs in 1987. He scored over 10000 runs and scored 34 hundred in test cricket.

9. Jacques Kallis

Jacques Kallis is one of the most dangerous all-rounders in the game’s history. He could walk into any side in world cricket either purely as a batter or as a bowler. He is the complete all-rounder. He scored over 13k runs in test cricket. He reached the 10k runs milestone in 219 innings. He is the only player from South African team to score 10k or more runs in test cricket.

10. Alastair Cook

Alastair Cook is also the only batter from his country to score 10k or more runs. He is one of the most incredible batters in test cricket history. He scored over 12k runs in test cricket, and at one point, it looked like he could overtake Sachin’s records. He scored 10k runs in 229 innings. He reached 10k runs in 2016.
