The Big Bash League, which is known as BBL, is a famous T20 league around the world. It’s a home for Australia T20 domestic cricket, and it was first inaugurated in 2011 by cricket Australia. It’s been one of the top T20 leagues, and it has many breathtaking moments. Let us see the top ten run-scorers in BBL.

 10. Moises Henriques

Moises Henriques is an all-rounder from Sydney Sixers, is one of the talented players, and he is one of those loyal players, where he played only one franchise in BBL. Henriques played a vital role for the Sydney Sixers as they clinched the crown three times in history. He played 87 games and scored 1900 runs which include ten half-centuries with a decent strike rate of 131.39. Besides this, he is the captain of the club. 

9. Callum Ferguson

Callum Ferguson is the senior batsman in BBL. He plays easy on the eye and is a delight to watch. Callum evolved when he played for Sydney Thunders. He also captained this team in the 2020-21 edition. He played 87 games and added 1935 runs which include one hundred and eight half-centuries. A genius! 

8. Michael Klinger

They say old is gold, and Klinger is a true example of it. When he hung his boots in 2019, Klinger held the record for most runs scored by a batsman in the BBL. Klinger played 71 games and scored 1947 runs with an average of over 30+. He has twelve fifties and one century to his name. He has been one of the stand-out players for the scorchers. 

7. Jonathan Wells

Wells made his BBL debut in 2011 and has been right up there among the top. Wells is a versatile player and can bat at any given position. He represented Hobart Hurricanes and Adelaide Strikers. He is also a terrific fielder. Wells played 94 BBL games and scored over 2000 runs which include ten fifties. He played a key role for Adelaide Strikers. He scored staggering 478 runs from 15 games in the 2019-20 season and received huge appreciation for a wonderful season. 

6. D’Arcy Short 

He is known as Mr.BBL. Rewarding for his consistent run in the Big Bash, Short made his international debut for Australia in 2018. He is also a useful bowler. Furthermore, he made his BBL debut in 2015 for Hobart Hurricanes, and he made 2109 runs at a healthy average of 40.55. Short has been among the runs since the start, and he has two centuries and eighteen half-centuries to his name. He’s been instrumental when Hobart Hurricanes made it to the finals in the 2019-2020 season. 

5. Marcus Stoinis

From Perth Scorchers, he moved to Melbourne Stars and has been inconsistent for few seasons because of no fixed position to bat, still, Stoinis made a remarkable comeback as a batsman when he got a chance to open the innings for Stars. He holds the record for the highest individual score by a batsman in BBL 147*. His break-out season was 2019-20, where he scored over 700 runs in just 17 innings. He scored 2137 from 74 matches in BBL.  

4. Shaun Marsh

Marsh is elegant and sweet to watch. He plays easily on the eye, and the experience of playing all around the globe adds value to him. Marsh played excellently at home club Perth Scorchers. He has been a vital part of the team when Perth managed to win three titles (2013, 2014, 2016). He scored 20 fifties in just 61 innings. Marsh has the highest average among the top 10 run-scorers in BBL. He averages 41.43 and scored 2196 runs with a strike rate of 128.27. Marsh has moved to the Melbourne Renegades in the year 2019. 

3. Glenn Maxwell 

Maxwell has been a specialist in T20 format. He perfectly fits in any team and brings a lot of variety to the table. His unorthodox batting style makes it difficult for any bowler to bowl to him. Many of his innovative shots make the audience go frenzy. He scored 2205 runs with a Strike rate of 149.08. His strike rate threatens the opposition every single time, and the impact he creates is too much for the opposition. 

2. Aaron Finch

Finch is one of the finest batsmen in T20 format. Finch made his BBL debut in 2011, and since then, he’s been playing for Melbourne Renegades. Under the leadership of Finch, Melbourne Renegades won the title in BBL 08. He played 76 matches and scored 2431 runs including the eighteen fifties and two tons. Finch holds the record for most fours (226) scored by any batsmen in the BBL.  

1. Chris Lynn

Chris Lynn, without a matter of doubt, is one of the best T20 players to ever grace the sport – Argue with the wall. Fans in Australia call him and his range of destruction  ‘Lynnasity’. Chris Lynn holds many individual records in the BBL as a player. He holds the record for most sixes, most runs, most fifties, and highest strike rate. He is also the highest-paid cricketer in the BBL. Lynn has hit 172 sixes in the BBL.  Lynn has a tally of 2790 runs in 90 matches with a career strike rate of over 150. He takes no time in settling and launching the balls into the stands.
