The Indian cricket team started from nowhere and is dominating the game. There are so many iconic moments that we have witnessed over the years. 1. Back-To-Back Series Victory Vs West Indies

The two triumphs against the West Indies and England were the first steps in India's 38-year path to becoming the top Test team. First, in a five-match series in the Caribbean, Ajit Wadekar's team upset the renowned Sir Gary Sobers-led West Indies by a score of 1-0 at home. Then, in a three-match Test series, they overcame Ray Illingworth's strong English team, which had won the Ashes, 1-0. India eventually won the game by chasing down 170+ in the fourth innings, sealing off their first-ever Test series triumph in England, thanks to Bhagawat Chandrasekar's brilliant bowling that reduced England to 101 in the second innings of the third Test at the Oval.

2. 2001 Test Series Vs Australia

Sourav Ganguly led India to victory in one of the most memorable Test matches at the Eden Gardens in Kolkata in March 2001. Back then, Australia, led by the legendary Steve Waugh, dominated in both home and away matches, and they had a 15-match winning streak going into the first Test against India, which they extended to 16.

3. Natwest Series – 2002

On July 13, 2002, India and England squared off in the NatWest Series championship game. England chose to bat first after winning the toss and got off to a strong start. With a score of 325/5 after their 50 overs, England, led by captain Nasser Hussain and Marcus Trescothick, set India a lofty goal of 326. The team led by Sourav Ganguly achieved a spectacular victory. Ganguly lost his composure, got giddy, and waved his shirt from the balcony of the Lord.

4. India Vs Australia Test Series (In Australia) – 2019

India trounced the Australians in their backyard in the final two Tests, winning the series 2-1, courtesy of superb bowling by the aggressive Indian bowling attack and outstanding batting by the seasoned Cheteswar Pujara throughout the series. India won the first two games of the four-match series while dropping the last game. India won the trophy after the fourth game at the Sydney Cricket Ground concluded in a draw with a score of 2-2, giving them a 2-1 advantage.

5. India Test Win 20-21 Vs Australia, Gabba

After being all-out for 36 in the first Test, having their main bowlers injured, and having their original captain Virat Kohli take paternity leave, India was staring death in the face. India overcame injury issues to break through a fortress and win the series against a fully-fit Australian team at the Gabba, however, after leveling the series at the MCG and surviving a last-day scare at the SCG. Ajinkya Rahane, the vice-captain, kept his composure, and many of the side's rookies played outstanding cricket while shouldering the burden. Every cricket fan will cherish the victory for all time.

6. Coca-Cola Trophy, 1998

The heroics of Sachin Tendulkar alone will make this particular tournament unique. In the final game of the group league, The Master Blaster's legendary knock of 143, affectionately known as the desert storm, helped the team advance to the championship. In the championship game, India needed to win by 273 points, and Tendulkar came through with a brilliant 134-ball performance. The legendary Indian batsman attacked Shane Warne, Damien Fleming, and Michael Kasprowicz mercilessly.

7. Samsung Cup, 2004

After a protracted absence, India returned to Pakistan in 2004 on what was intended to be a goodwill tour. But the moment the ball started moving, everything changed. The Samsung Cup, which consisted of five games, was tied at 2-2 going into the Lahore final. India achieved 293 for 7 thanks to a tonne of hitting from V. V. S. Laxman. In reply, Pakistan lost Inzamam-ul Haq early, but later contributed 99 runs for the seventh wicket thanks to Shoaib Malik and Moin Khan, who kept the side in contention. After Malik was fired, things picked up rapidly, and India finally won a match in Pakistan after a protracted 15-year absence.

8. CB Series, 2008

A young Indian squad advanced to the CB series championship match against Australia. India entered the second final of the best-of-three finals with a lot of confidence. India chose to bat and in 50 overs amassed 258 for 9, with 91 being scored by Sachin Tendulkar. In response, Praveen Kumar quickly removed Michael Clarke, Ricky Ponting, and Adam Gilchrist. A tough partnership was formed between Matthew Hayden and Andrew Symonds before both of them abruptly perished. Piyush Chawla made sure that India won the victory. It was a significant victory for India under the leadership of M. S. Dhoni.

9. Nidahas Trophy, 2018

Dinesh Karthik was the next to perform a Javed Miandad. The seasoned player smashed a six off the final ball as India defeated Bangladesh by four wickets thanks to an unbelievable chase. A second-string Indian team maintained composure in a difficult situation to chase down a target of 167 in 20 overs when they needed five runs off the penultimate delivery, smashing Soumya Sarkar over extra cover with a strike rate of 29 off eight deliveries. As Miandad did against India 32 years ago in Sharjah, it would count as one of India's renowned last-ball sixes!

10. Asia Cup, 2018

Kedar Jadhav's unbeaten 23 helped India win a thrilling last-ball match. India had 50 overs to chase 223 and lost five wickets for 160 runs. Jadhav left the game hurt, but he returned later in the game to help India win the match. One of the most exciting innings was won by India with six runs remaining in the final over.
