10. New Zealand (2019)

New Zealand hosted Bangladesh for a three-match series. This game was the first one of the series. Bangladesh batted first, and made a score of 234. New Zealand, in response, made a massive score of over 700 runs, with the first three batsmen, all scoring centuries. The captain Kane Williamson made a double century. New Zealand, eventually got to an innings victory. New Zealand scored 715 in this innings.

9. India (2009)

India hosted Sri Lanka in this series, with this being the final match. Sri Lanka batted first, and scored 393. India, in response, had two centurions, Virender Sehwag, and MS Dhoni. Sehwag scored a 254-ball 293. India, in the end, won the match by an innings and 24 runs. India scored 726 in this innings.

8. Australia (1930)

England was the host in this game against Australia. England batted first, and scored 425, thanks to a 173 from Duleepsinhji. In response, though, Australia’s Don Bradman, played one of the best knocks of the time. He scored 254, and Australia scored well over 700. Australia won the match by seven wickets. Australia scored 729 runs in this innings.

7. Sri Lanka (2014)

Sri Lanka toured Bangladesh in this series. Bangladesh batted first, and scored 232. Sri Lanka had a team effort, while batting, as they had three centuries, and three half-centuries. Mahela Jayawardene scored a double century. Sri Lanka eventually won the match by an innings and 248 runs. Sri Lanka scored 730 in this innings.

6. Australia (2003)

Australia hosted Zimbabwe in this test. Australia batted first. Their opener Matthew Hayden, amassed runs, and made a colossal score. He broke the world record for the highest individual score in test cricket previously held by Brian Lara. Hayden scored 380. Australia made over 700 runs, and declared. It proved too much, for Zimbabwe, as they lost by an innings and 75 runs. Australia scored 735 in this innings.

5. Sri Lanka (2006)

Sri Lanka hosted South Africa in this game. South Africa batted first. They scored 169. In response, Sri Lanka, despite having a slightly shaky start, had a colossal partnership of 624 runs for the third wicket, as Mahela Jayawardene and Kumar Sangakkara both, crossed their respective double centuries, and 250s too. Sri Lanka won the match by an innings and 153 runs. Sri Lanka scored 756 in this innings.

4. Australia (1955)

Australia toured the West Indies for a test series. This was the final match of the series. Australia bowled first, and conceded 357. In reply, the Australian batsmen had splendid teamwork, going on for them. Five batsmen from their team managed to score a century each, with Neil Harvey scoring a double century. In the end, Australia won the match by an innings and 82 runs. Australia scored 758 in this innings.

3. India (2016)

England toured India for this five-match series. India was dominant against England in this series. India had a lead of 3-0, before this final match in Chennai. India bowled first, and conceded a massive total of 477. However, in reply to this, India notched up a larger score. Indian batsmen KL Rahul, and Karun Nair, both scored centuries. KL Rahul came agonizingly close to a double century, before getting out for 199. Whereas, Karun Nair, despite being a relatively new player, scored a triple hundred. He was just the second Indian batsman, after Virender Sehwag, to score a test triple century. India scored over 750, and eventually won by an innings and 75 runs. India scored 759 in this innings.

2. West Indies (1958)

This game was the third one, in the test series of, the Pakistan tour of West Indies. Pakistan batted first, and scored 328. In the West Indies innings, the batsmen Conrad Hunte, and  Garry Sobers had a partnership of 446 runs. Garry Sobers broke the world record for the highest individual score, by scoring 365 not out. West Indies, eventually won by an innings and 174 runs. West Indies scored 790 in this innings.

1. England (1938)

Australia toured England in this test series. This game was a timeless test, with a flat batting track. England batted first, and their opener, Len Hutton, scored 364 runs in this innings, which was the first instance of a batsman scoring 350+ runs in an innings, individually. England batted on for nearly three days, and made over 900 runs. They eventually won the match by an innings and 579 runs. England scored 903 in this innings.
