10. Quinton De Kock

After the retirement of Mark Boucher, South Africa needed a talented wicket-keeper batter, and then came De Kock, who opened the innings for the team in limited over formats. De Kock made his international debut in 2012 and also captained South Africa in all the formats of the game. To date, De Kock played 231 International games (Tests+T20IS+ODIs) and has 466 dismissals to his name. Dismissals/Innings Ratio: 1.745.

9. Denesh Ramdin

Hailing from Trinidad, Ramdin is 9th on the list of wicketkeepers with most dismissals. Ramdin debuted way back in the year 2005, and he last played in the year 2019. In short, Ramdin was one of the solid wicket-keeper batter produced by the West Indies team. Short in height but a great behind the stumps, Ramdin played a total of 284 international matches (Tests+T20Is+ODIs) and has 468 dismissals under his tally. Dismissals/Innings Ratio: 1.380

8. Jeff Dujon

Another West-Indian on the list, Jeff was from Jamaica and was considered to be the legendary wicketkeeper for the islands. He served West Indies for only ten years but made his mark with his wicket keeping. He is above his teammate Ramdin with 474 dismissals from 250 International matches (Tests+ODIs). During Jeff Dujon’s time, there was no T20I format. It was an incredible sight because during that time, West Indian fast bowling was of a different level and you need to be the very best to catch all those edges.

7. Brad Haddin

His immediate predecessor was Adam Gilchrist, Haddin made a test debut at the age of 30. Haddin made up for the lost time by eventually becoming vice-captain to Michael Clarke and a key senior figure in a developing Australian side. Haddin played an unforgettable role in the team’s win at the Ashes 2014. Haddin has played 226 International matches (Tests+T20Is+ODIs) and was involved in 474 dismissals. Haddin served Australia for 14 years. After Gilchrist and Healy, Haddin was known to be the next best wicket-keeper batter for Australia.

6. Rod Marsh

Another Australian wicket-keeper who made it into the list. Rod Marsh belonged to the 1970s-80s and was a well-respected wicket-keeper who had an incredible 479 dismissals under his tally.  He was known to be aggressive and energetic and highly skilled behind the stumps. The dismissal “caught Marsh and bowled Lillee” was recorded 95 times- The highest in test cricket history.

5. Ian Healy

Healy was considered as one of the finest wicket-keepers ever who donned the gloves. He was terrific during his time and was super active on the field. Healy debuted for Australia in 1988 and went on to play till 1999 where another superstar took the keeping duties from him. In 287 games, Healy had 628 dismissals in which included 68 stumpings. One of the most talked-about features about his keeping was standing up to the stumps of the legendary Shane Warne. Dismissals/Innings Ratio: 1.602

4. Kumar Sangakkara

Kumar is a legendary Sri Lankan left-handed wicket-keeper batter who scored more than 10000+runs each in Tests and ODIs. His cover drive has a separate fan base – stylish, classical, treat for the eyes, and everything else. Sangakkara is a top wicketkeeper with quick hands. Remember that keeping up to Muralitharan is not easy, and Sangakkara excelled in it. His carrier expanded 15 years and included 594 matches (Tests+T20Is+ODIs), in which he was involved in 678 dismissals.

3. MS. Dhoni

This list is incomplete without Dhoni, He is a legendary wicket-keeper batter ever produced by India. He is quick as the light behind the stumps, and he has 195 stumpings which are the highest among the keepers in this list. With his tactics, mind-games, and his coolness, Dhoni has won the games for India with his wicket-keeping alone. His diving catches, extra fast stumpings and, athleticism has gained enormous reach over the cricketing world. In the 538 International games (Tests+T20Is+ODIs), Dhoni has 829 dismissals under his name.

2. Adam Gilchrist

The skills and wicket-keeping activities of Gilchrist are still unmatchable across all the formats. Probably the best wicket-keeper batter in the world, Adam Gilchrist holds the record for the most number of catches in ODIs by a wicket-keeper. He also has the record for most runs by a wicket-keeper in the tests. Gilchrist played 396 International matches (Tests+T20Is+ODIs) and has 905 dismissals to his name. Boucher is regarded as the greatest wicket-keeper batter as he is the no.1 wicket-keeper with the most dismissals in the history of the game. He also holds the record of most Test dismissals by a wicket-keeper – 555. Boucher offered his services for the Proteas over 15 years and played 467 games where he was involved in 990 dismissals – the highest for any wicket-keeper.
