Scoring a century in test cricket is nothing less than a dream come true for any cricketer. Test Matches have seen various examples of young players with very high scores in Test Cricket. When a young player hits a century, it boosts his confidence and strengthens his belief. If a player makes 100+ runs in his game, he scores a century. When it comes to Test cricket making high totals is not an easy task. It requires both strength and skills as a batsman to stay on the pitch for long and make runs.

1. M Ashraful

This middle-order batsman from Bangladesh is the youngest cricketer to score a century in Test Cricket. At 17 years 61 days of age, he hit 114 runs in a Test Match against Srilanka. The match was played on 6 September 2001 on the ground of Colombo(SSC). Mohammad Ashraful played his last Test Match in 2013 against Zimbabwe.

2. Mushtaq Mohammad 

Mushtaq Mohammad is a former player in the Pakistan Cricket Team. He stands at the second position on the youngest players' list to score a century in test cricket. Mushtaq was 17 years 78 days young when he made this record in the Test century on the ground of Delhi. The batsman made 101 runs batting against India on 8 February 1961.

3. SR Tendulkar

Popularly known as the Little Master, Sachin Ramesh Tendulkar is the finest cricketer that the world has ever seen. He is in the third position on our list of the youngest century makers. Tendulkar was 17 years 107 days old when he made his Test century against England. The game was held on 9 august 1990, in which he made 110* runs.

4. Hamilton Masakadza 

Hamilton Masakadza is a former top-order batsman in the Zimbabwe Cricket Team. He is the fourth-youngest cricketer to have scored a Test century and made his Test Appearance on 27 July 2001. He made 119 runs in a Test Match against West Indies and is the fourth-best youngest Test Century. Hamilton was 17 years 352 years old when he made this record.

5. Imran Nazir 

Imran Nazir is a former gifted player in the Pakistan Cricket Team who is also the fifth-youngest cricketer to hit a Test century. He made it in a match against West Indies on 19 May 2000. His age during the game was 18 years 154 days. Imran made 131 runs on the grounds of Bridgetown. The last Test Match that he played was against Australia at Sharjah.

6. Saleem Malik 

Having a career of ups and down, Saleem Malik makes at the sixth position in the Top 10 Youngest Century hitters. He is a former right-hand batsman who played for the Pakistan Cricket team. On 5 March 1982, the Pakistani batsman hit 100*runs at Karachi stadium. Malik was 18 years 323 days old when he made his record of one of the youngest Test centuries.

7. Prithvi Pankaj Shaw 

Prithvi Pankaj Shaw is a 22-year-old player in the present Indian Cricket Team. Besides being the seventh-youngest cricketer to hit a Test century, he is also the youngest player to hit a century in Duleep Trophy's debut. Prithvi Shaw made his Test record at 18 years 329 days age. The Test match was played against West Indies on 4 October 2018 in the Rajkot stadium. He made a total of 134 runs.

8. S Afridi

Sahibzada Mohammad Shahid Khan Afridi is at number eight in the Top 10 youngest cricketers who have hit a Test century list. He is a former right-hand batsman who played in the Pakistan Cricket Team and the youngest player to hit a century in ODI. On 28 January 1999, in a Test match against India, he smashed 141 runs. The game was played on the ground of Chennai stadium.

9. Mohammad Ilyas Mahmood 

Mohammad Ilyas Mahmood played in the Pakistan Cricket Team during the 1960s and is at the second last position in our list of Top 10 youngest cricketers who have hit a century in Test cricket. Mahmood made this record at 19 years 21 days on 9 April 1965. The match was against New Zealand, and he made 126 runs.

10. M Wasim

This Indian-origin Pakistan batsman is the last to make the list of Top 10 youngest cricketers to hit a Test century. Mohammad Wasim played his last Test Match against Srilanka in 2000, while his century record in Test cricket came in 1996. On 21 November, he made 109* Test runs at 19 years 105 days age. The venue for the match was Lahore.
