The Bahamas cricket team has produced some of the very experienced players in the years, along with slips, sweepers, and wicket keepers. The Bahamas team was initially recorded as playing in 1984 but did not represent in the international tournament until 2002 when it participated in the Americas Affiliate Championship 2002. Then, the team has occasionally played in ICC Americas competition and on one event in a World Cricket League tournament. The team also represented at the 2007 and 2008 Stanford 20-20 tournaments.
