T20 cricket is more of a batting format than bowling. The run flow in this format makes the job tough for the bowlers. Earlier, the score of 200 used to be the defending total in one-day cricket. But now, these scores are not safe in T20 cricket. However, in this format, the wicket tally doesn't represent the bowlers performance. One thing that matters the most is the economy rates. Bowlers with low economy rate stop the run flow of the batting side. Sometimes the batter throws away their wicket due to the tight economy rate of the bowlers.

1. Lasith Malinga

Malinga's name will go down as the greatest T20 bowler. This right-arm quick bowler has troubled batters a lot during his career. Malinga was famous for bowling unplayable Yorkers. Malinga has the best economy rate in the big bash league. His economy rate is just 5, which is considered great in this format.

2. M Muralitharan 

Muralitharan is the greatest bowler of cricket history. He is the leading wicket-taker in both Test and ODIs. Muralitharan has played the T20 format also, and he has done exceptionally well in this. In 16 big bash matches, his economy rate reads just 5.70.

3. Mitchell Johnson 

Johnson is a former player of the Australian cricket team. The right-arm fast bowler was famous for knocking off batter stumps with raw pace. Johnson was an all-format bowler, and he has bowled in the BBL with an economy rate of just 6.14.

4. Mujeeb Ur Rahman 

The Afghanistan cricket team is famous for producing top-quality T20 spinners. Mujeeb is one example. This young bowler has got recognition in a very concise time. Mujeeb participates in every franchise cricket, and he has one of the best economy rates in the BBL of 6.27.

5. Samuel Badree 

Badree is a T20 world-cup champion. He played a vital role in West Indies winning the T20 world cup. During his cricket career, he featured in various franchise cricket leagues. In the big bash league, he maintains an economy rate of just 6.42.

6. Rashid Khan 

When we hear the greatest T20 bowler of this era, the first name that comes to our mind is Rashid Khan. This star player doesn't mind the pitch conditions; he can bowl a tight spell at any pitch. Rashid is a superstar in the BBL. His economy rate is just 6.52 in this tournament.

7. GB Hogg 

Hogg is a legendary T20 Spin all-rounder. He became the oldest player to play in the T20 world-cup. Age never bothers him and he keep performing better in every opportunity he gets. Hogg has played a good amount of games in the BBL,  and he bowls at the tight economy rate of 6.63.

8. MA Beer

Beer is a former bowler of the Australian cricket team. He had played in the BBL mostly. Beef played 58 big bash matches for two franchises. He was a decent bowler who bowled with an Economy rate of 6.70 in the BBL.

9. SNJ O'Keefe

Steven is a former bowler of the Australian cricket team. He is usually recognized for his magical spell against India in the first test match of the 2017 series. He didn't get enough opportunity after that and mostly played in the BBL. He has an economy rate of 6.72 in this global cricket tournament.

10. JP Behrendorff

Jason is a tall fast bowler on the Australian cricket team. He is a regular part of his national team in white-ball cricket. However, he is mostly featured in the franchise cricket, and his best comes in the big bash league. Jason, apart from wicket-taking ability, can bowl with a tight economy rate also. He has an economy rate of just 6.88 in the BBL.
