India has participated in every World Cup, and the most memorable world cups for the Indian team were the 1983 World Cup and the 2011 World Cup. Cricket wasn't so popular back in the '80s. Mahendra Singh Dhoni is the Captain Cool in cricket. He's been in the game for 17 years. Dhoni is the only captain from India who has won all the cricketing trophies. Mahendra Singh Dhoni has played 4 World Cups in 2007, 2011, 2015, and 2019. Dhoni was the one who made many Indians' dreams come true, and Sachin's also. Mahendra Singh Dhoni scored 91 runs in the 2011 World Cup final and became the man of the match. Mahendra Singh Dhoni retired in 2020.

3. Virat Kohli

Virat Kohli is one of the best chasers. He has been playing for 12 years in international cricket. Kohli is the only player who many believe can break the record of Sachin Tendulkar of 100 centuries. He has played in three world cups in 2011, 2015, and 2019. Kohli is the current captain of the Indian cricket team, and people want to see him also lift the trophy for the ODI World Cup. When he was an emerging player, he showed his capability by being at the crease in difficult times and also played small but crucial innings of 35 runs in the 2011 World Cup.

4. Yuvraj Singh

Yuvraj Singh played ODIs from 2000 to 2017 for India. Singh has played in 3 ODI World Cups in 2003, 2007, and 2011. He was going through rough patches. Despite this, Singh continued to play and became the World Cup 2011 Player of the Tournament. He scored 326 runs and took 15 wickets in the 2011 World Cup, and Yuvraj Singh took retirement in 2017.

5. Kapil Dev

Kapil Dev, the winning captain of the 1983 World Cup, played for 16 years for India. He was one of the first successful all-rounders in the Indian team and the best in the world at that time. Dev played 3 world cups in the years 1979, 1983, and 1987. Because of him that Indians got an interest in cricket. Dev's team beat West Indies in the final of 1983. He retired in 1992.

6. Sunil Gavaskar

Little Master Sunil Gavaskar was the best batsman at the time when confronting bowling was very difficult. He played for 13 years, and Gavaskar was very popular at the time for hitting sixes against the deadly bowlers of the West Indies. He has played 4 world cups in 1975, 1979, 1983, and 1987. In Gavaskar's third World Cup final, he got a chance to lift the World Cup trophy. He retired in 1987.

7. Harbhajan Singh

Harbhajan is called Bhaji, or the googly specialist. He has played for 17 years in international cricket. Singh is one of only a few bowlers who have taken over 400 wickets in ODI. He has played in 3 world cups: 2003, 2007, and 2011. After winning the 2011 World Cup, Singh said they wanted to see Sachin lift the trophy, and they did it today.

8. Virendra Sehwag

Virendra Sehwag is very popular for playing fearless cricket. He has played for India for 14 years. No one dared to take Sehwag's wicket when he was in the mood to hit the bowlers. 9. Zaheer Khan

Zaheer Khan is one of India's best fast bowlers of all time. He has played for 12 years. Khan has played 3 world cups in 2003, 2007, and 2011. In the 2011 World Cup, he took a total of 21 wickets. Khan retired from ODI in 2012.

10. Javagal Srinath

Javagal Srinath is one of the few all-rounders in the Indian cricket team who has played four world cups, like Kapil Dev. Srinath played in World Cups in 1992, 1996, 1999, and 2003. Javagal Srinath has taken 44 wickets in these World Cups, the joint highest with Zaheer Khan.
