Cricket playing was initiated by foreign invaders from South Africa and via the Indian continent. Tshepo Phaswana (born October 10, 1998) is a Botswana cricket player. Tshepo was selected in Botswana's cricket team for the Regional Finals of the 2018–19 ICC T20 World Cup Africa Qualifier tournament in Uganda. Tshepo made his debut in the arena of Twenty20 Internationals for Botswana cricket team against Namibia in May 2019.

Nabil participated in the 2016 ICC World Cricket championship Division seven tournament. In September 2018, Nabil presented the team in the Southern region group in the 2017–19 ICC World Twenty-20 Africa Qualifying championship. Nabil was the top wicket-getter at that time.
6. James Moses
James made his Twenty-20 International (T20I) opening for, the team opposite Uganda on 20th May 2019. As a result, James was known as the oldest participator to open in a T20-I and also known for, the oldest participator to play in a T20-I game.

Ameer participated in five games in the 2016 ICC World Cricket championship Division seven tournament in England. Ameer made his Twenty-20 International (T20I) opening for the team opposite Namibia on 19th August 2020 while Botswana's vacation of Namibia.
4. Vinoo Balakrishnan
Vinoo made his Twenty-20 International (T20I) opening opposite Uganda on 20th May 2019. Vinoo was the top run-getter for the team in the Region Finals, by 63 runs in four games. In September 2021, Vinoo was known in Botswana's team for their games in Group C ICC Men's World tournament.

In September 2018, Reginald presented the team in the Southern region group in the 2017–19 ICC World Twenty-20 Africa Qualifying championship. In September 2018, Karabo led the team in the Southern region group in the 2017–19 ICC World Twenty-20 Africa Qualifying championship. In the initial game of the championship, Karabo got an unbeaten 50 and was given the man of the series. Karabo was the top run-getter for the team in the tournament by 196 runs in seven games.
