It happened during the England VS Sri Lanka T20 match in 2021. The batsman Gunathilaka hit the ball lightly. Sam Curran ran towards it and kicked it towards the stumps. 3. Andrew Flintoff Vs. Ricky Ponting
This particular incident happened in 2005 at the Oval during the Ashes series. Hard sledding was going on from both teams, and no one was ready to give up. 4. Ian Botham runs out Greg Chappel in Ashes in 1982
The infamous rivalry between Botham and Chappel has sparked many headlines and has been the talk of the town for quite a few times. On this, Ian Botham performed a brilliant run out on his bowling and gave this rivalry another milestone to remember. In response, Chappel took a sharp catch when Botham was batting.
5. Ben Stokes vs. Marlon Samuels (T20 World Cup 2016)
No one can ever forget this one specific run-out, after which Marlon Samuels went on raging in the media against Ben Stokes. He even dragged his wife into it. During the 2016 T20 world cup final, Stokes got an opportunity to mankad Samuels as he was out of the crease even before the ball was bowled. It did not fit well with Samuels, and things quickly turned ugly. England ended up winning the final.
6. Andrew Flintoff runs-out Justin Langer
Another fiery incident happened when Andrew Flintoff performed a quick run out to dismiss Justin Langer during Ashes 2005 test series. It happened during the league stage of CT 2016. Kohli was in his fiery form and was playing well enough. At that point, Morgan stepped up and took matters into his own hands. Kohli played the ball towards point and set off for a quick single. Morgan fielded the ball and, in one swift motion, threw it accurately at the strikers end, catching Kohli short of his crease
8. James Taylor runs out Michael Clarke (ashes 2013)
During the second test of the 2013 Ashes series, Australian captain Michael Clarke looked dangerous for the England team. James Taylor was on a short leg and immediately sprinted towards mid-wicket to stop the run, thus dismissing Clarke. This one would always remain special as it was one of the last dismissals by him. He was diagnosed with a severe heart condition in 2015, forcing him to quit cricket forever.
9. Jos Buttler vs. MS Dhoni (ODI Series 2018)
It was one of the cleanest dismissals in this particular series between India and England in 2018. Dhoni was looking forward to scoring a quick single, but jos buttler took a ball and reacted in a split second to dismiss Dhoni at the non-striker’s end.
