The country, where spin has been pre-dominant, has also produced some great fast bowlers. Today, we take a look at these impressive bowlers who have bagged the most wickets in Women’s T20I World Cups.

1. Stafanie Taylor

On the first position of this list, we have Stafanie Taylor with a total of 33 wickets in 27 innings. Since the inaugural Women’s T20I World Cup in 2009, Stafanie bowled with an economy rate of only 5.95 giving away 512 runs in 86 overs. Her best bowling figures, during this tenure, were of 4/12.

2. Deandra Dottin

On number two, we have Deandra Dottin, who scalped 26 wickets in 18 innings between 2009 and 2020. She bowled 51 overs, with an average economy rate of 6.25, in her T20I World cup career and registered the best bowling figures of 5/5.

3. Anisa Mohammad

The third spot on the list belongs to Anisa Mohammad, for picking up 22 wickets in her T20I World Cup career. She bowled a total of 85 overs and recorded the best figures of 3/17. She was just 15 years old when she started playing for West Indies.

4. Afy Fletcher

On the fourth position on this list, we have Afy Fletcher. The leg-break bowler has bagged 18 wickets since the 2016 Women’s T20I World Cup. In the 54 overs of 18 innings, she has given away 321 runs with an economy rate of 5.92 runs per over while registering the best bowling figures of 3/12.

5. Shaquana Quintyne

Next on the list, is Shaquana Quintyne. She is another leg-break bowler who played T20I World Cups for West Indies from 2012 to 2016. In 37 overs of 11 innings, she scalped 14 wickets while giving away 185 runs with an economy rate of only 5 runs per over. She registered the best bowling figures of 3/5.

6. Shakera Selman

Shakera Salman stands on the sixth position on this list with 14 wickets in her bag. Since the inaugural Women’s T20I World Cup she has bowled 60 overs in 21 innings giving away 341 runs at an economy rate of 5.63 runs per over. Her best bowling figures during this tenure were 2/12.

7. Shanel Daley

On number seven, we have Shanel Daley who picked up 13 wickets in 14 innings during 2009-2014.The left-arm slow orthodox bowler bowled 45 overs with an economy rate of 6.53 and conceded 294 runs.  Her best bowling figures were of 4/15.

8. Hayley Mathews

Since 2016, Hayley Matthews has scalped 12 wickets in 46 overs of 15 innings of the Women’s T20I World Cup. The right-arm offbreak bowler has conceded 263 runs at an economy rate of 5.71 and registered the best bowling figures of 3/16. Apart from being good with the ball, Hayley is very valuable with the bat as well.

9. Tremayne Smartt

Next up is Tremayne Smartt. Smartt picked up 9 wickets in 22 overs of 8 innings. The right arm bowler leaked 126 runs at an economy rate of 5.77 runs per over and registered the best bowling figures of 3/15.

10. Shamilia Connell

The final bowler to make it to this list is Shamilia Connell. The right arm fast bowler has bowled 46 overs in 17 runs since 2016, and picked up 9 wickets while conceding 281 runs at an economy rate of 6.08. Her best bowling figures were 3/24.
