10. Kieron Pollard Vs. Kings XI Punjab (Batter: Shaun Marsh)

Kieron Pollard is known for taking beauties, and there would be no surprise if all the top catches are under his name; he produces at least one blinder in each of the IPL seasons. Shaun Marsh is known to hit the ball so hard that it would clear the rope any day but not when Kieron Pollard is around. He plucked the ball from thin air and managed to hold on to the catch: pure beauty and a match-turning incidence.

9. Harmeet Singh Vs. Royal Challengers Bangalore (Batter: Vinay Kumar)

In the 2009 IPL Final, Royal Challengers Bangalore was well in reach to win the game, but some of the spectacular fielding from the Deccan Chargers made sure that RCB was short of the target. Vinay scooped the ball over the fine leg, and Harmeet came forward and dived well to take the catch. Considering the match situation, it was a spectacular catch.

8. Ricky Ponting Vs. Delhi Daredevils (Batter: Unmukt Chand)

Ricky Ponting is the most excellent batter of all time, but he was below par in the IPL. He did not succeed much with the batting, but he captained Mumbai Indians well. Besides this, he had taken a catch where the IPL fans would remember Ponting for the hitch itself. In 2013, Unmukt Chand sliced the ball to the cover where Ponting ran across, dived, and took the catch. It was one of the best catches you will ever see. Pure class!

7. Abhimanyu Mithun Vs. Mumbai Indians (Batter: Kieron Pollard)

Have you heard about anything like giving your opponent a taste of their own medicine? It was in 2011, where Kieron Pollard struck the ball like a monster, everyone including the Mumbai Indians dugout, thought the ball would be hitting the rows; even a few tried to get away from the ball thinking that it was coming towards them, but Mithun had other plans. He was so close to the boundary and had taken a fantastic catch at the long-off border. It was just a game of inches.

6. David Hussey Vs. Royal Challengers Bangalore (Batter: Chris Gayle)

The year was 2021. It was all over. The game was over, but there were smiles on the faces of Punjab fans as something dramatic happened that night when Hussey had taken a brilliant catch. Chris Gayle smashed the ball and gave very little time to David Hussey to react. However, he responded very well and dived to his left, and held the catch with one hand.

5. David Hussey Vs. Delhi Daredevils (Batter: Paul Collingwood)

It is him again, making into the list one more time. Unlike his international cricket, David Hussey has some great memories in the IPL, especially fielding. It happened in the last innings as Delhi and Kolkata were playing an all-important game. Paul Collingwood struck the ball down the ground aiming for a six- as the ball was traveling, David Hussey managed to hold on to it, but the momentum was such that it took him over the fence. Hussey used his brilliance to drop the ball inside the rope and returned to take the knockout. He got awarded as the best catch of the season in 2010.

4. Kieron Pollard Vs. Chennai Super Kings (Batter: Suresh Raina)

Pollard goes solo; it is hard to imagine a list without Kieron Pollard in it. The giant of the T20 cricket. He had taken many great catches, but one which stands top is the catch near the deep point rope, plucking it from the air. Suresh Raina used all his power to hit the ball very well, and as the ball came close, the big West Indian timed his jump perfectly, and while he was falling on the ground, he managed his balance and took a one-handed stunner. It was one of the finest catches in IPL’s history. This catch also won him the best catch of the season award in 2019.

3. Trent Boult Vs. Royal Challengers Bangalore (Batter: Virat Kohli)

In the year 2018, a catch by Trent Boult alarmed every social media. Delhi was defending 175, and Kohli and ABD formed a formidable partnership. But with the wicket of Kohli, the match turned the momentum towards the Delhi side. Kohli flicked the ball with the help of his wrists, and Boult was stationed well at the boundary judged it well and threw himself in the air and plucked the ball but the momentum carrying him over the edge, he threw the ball in the air, his chest was so close to the boundary line. Still, the magical thing that happened was such a day, and Boult managed to produce magic. It took so much time for the fans worldwide to believe that he had taken the catch.

2. AB De Villiers Vs. SunRisers Hyderabad (Batter: Alex Hales)

Fans call him Superman for his all-around batting, but he had unleashed his inner Superman with fielding too. In 2018, a beautiful night in Bengaluru, ABD produced magic as the crowd in the stadium and the people watching the game from home were left shell shocked after seeing the catch. SRH was chasing a big total, and Alex Hales hit one to the mid-wicket boundary, it was going for a six for all the money, but ABD timed his jump and plucked the catch on being airborne his right hand. 1. Chris Lynn Vs. Royal Challengers Bangalore (Batter: Ab De Villiers)

Oh yes, finally! The catch took the cricket world by the storm and got believed to be the all-time fantastic catch in the sport. The aura it possessed lasted for at least a week, where everyone was talking about the catch. It was the last over of the game. The venue was Sharjah and did not match until AB was in the middle. AB smashed the ball towards the corner to finish the game, but Lynn had other plans. He was standing inside the rope just by a few inches. Villiersslipped and lost his balance. However, he didn’t lose sight of the ball. Lynn took the catch while in the air and fell back before the rope. KKR went on to win the game just by three runs, and it was one of the memorable moments of IPL history.
