1. Gujarat Titans (233/3)

In the recently concluded season of the IPL, the Gujarat Titans registered the 10th-highest score in an IPL innings when they scored 233 against the Mumbai Indians in the Qualifier 2 at their own den. Shubman Gill, the Titans opener scored a blistering knock of 129 off just 60 balls. He smashed the Mumbai bowlers out of the park, scoring as many as 10 sixes and 7 boundaries in his innings. The match ended with the home team winning comprehensively by a 62-run margin. Gill was awarded the Player of the Match for his extraordinary performance.

2. Mumbai Indians (235/9)

In the 2021 season, the Mumbai Indians posted a mammoth 235 runs on the board, batting first against the Sunrisers Hyderabad, held at Abu Dhabi. Contributions from their opener Ishan Kishan (84 off 32) and star batsman Suryakumar Yadav (82 off 40) helped in the cause. The Indians emerged victorious in this game, beating the Hyderabad franchise by 42 runs. Kishan was awarded the Man of the Match award.

3. Royal Challengers Bangalore (235/1)

Playing against the Mumbai Indians at the Wankhede in the 2015 season, the Bangalore Royal Challengers posted a huge total of 235 runs on the board, thanks to contributions from their skipper Virat Kohli (82 off 50 balls) and centurion AB de Villiers (133 off 59 balls). de Villiers struck 19 boundaries and 4 over-boundaries in his innings. RCB just lost a single wicket in the entire innings, losing Gayle when he was on 13. The home team, though fought hard, yet lost the match by 39 runs. No wonder de Villiers received the Man of the Match for his superb contribution.

4. Chennai Super Kings (235/4)

After losing the toss and batting first, the Chennai Super Kings went off to a flying start in their match against the Kolkata Knight Riders at the Eden Gardens in the recently concluded 2023 season of the IPL. A total of 18 sixes were hit by the Chennai batters, as superb batting from Devon Conway, Ajinkya Rahane, Dube and Gaikwad made them post a mammoth 235 runs on the board. Ravindra Jadeja finished things off with his 8-ball 18. The home team never really looked settled as they came out to bat, and ultimately, they lost the match by 49 runs. 5. Chennai Super Kings (240/5)

The sixth-highest score by a team in the IPL also belongs to the Chennai Super Kings. They made this huge total in the first season itself, against the Kings XI Punjab, when the Australian star batter Michael Hussey scored 116 runs off just 54 balls, striking at over 200. He hit 8 fours and 9 sixes during this scintillating innings. The home team, Punjab made every effort to chase down this total but they fell short by 33 runs in the end. It is of no surprise that Hussey won the Player of the Match award that evening.

6. Kolkata Knight Riders (245/6)

In the 2018 season, the Kolkata Knight Riders played against the Kings XI Punjab at Indore. Batting first, they put a huge total of 245 runs on the board, thanks to contributions from their opener Sunil Narine (75 runs off 36 balls) and their skipper Dinesh Karthik (50 off 23 balls). Other batsmen also played brilliantly striking well over 150, which ensured they post a giant total of 245 runs. The match ending with the Knights beating the Kings by a good margin of 31 runs. Narine picked up the wicket of KL Rahul, the highest-scorer in the Punjab line-up in that game, and the Man of the Match award was given to the former for his all-round performance.

7. Chennai Super Kings (246/5)

On 3rd April, 2010, the Chennai Super Kings played against the Rajasthan Royals at the own den, the Chepauk Stadium. Winning the toss, Dhoni decided to bat first. The home team got off to a flying start. Opener Murali Vijay scored a blistering knock of 127 runs off 56 balls, hitting as many as 11 sixes. South African all-rounder Albie Morkel finished things off with his power-packed innings of 62 runs off 34 balls, making the home team post 246 runs on the board. In the Rajasthan batting order, their opener Naman Ojha was the star performer, scoring 94 runs, while Shane Watson scored 60 runs. 8. Royal Challengers Bangalore (248/3)

In the 2016 season, the Royal Challengers Bangalore played against the Gujarat Lions at their home turf. Gujrat won the toss and sent the home team to bat first. The Bangalore innings was all about their captain Virat Kohli and South African sensation AB de Villiers. While the former scored a 55-ball 109, the latter scored 129 runs off 52 balls. These two scored a total of 20 sixes and 15 boundaries in total. The Gujarat innings never looked convincing, as they got bundled out for a paultry 104 runs. de Villiers was given the Man of the Match award for his outstanding performance.

9. Lucknow Super Giants (257/5)

In the recently concluded season, the Lucknow Super Giants registered the 2nd highest score by a team in this tournament, scoring 257 runs for a loss of 5 wickets against the Punjab Kings at Mohali. Kyle Meyers, Ayush Badoni, Marcus Stoinis and Nicholar Pooran all contributed equally in the Lucknow innings, scoring 54, 43, 72 and 45 runs respectively. Stoinis also claimed the important wicket of Shikhar Dhawan, which made him earn the Player of the Match award. LSG won the match comprehensively by a margin of 56 runs.

10. Royal Challengers Bangalore (263/5)

The highest ever score to be ever scored in the IPL belongs to the Bangalore franchise. Coming out to bat first, the Bangalore innings was all about the Universal Boss, Christopher Gayle. He faced just 66 balls and scored a mighty 175, hitting all around the park. He hit 17 sixes and 13 boundaries, striking at a rate of 265.16. This extraordinary innings earned him the Man of the Match award and made his team win the match against the Pune Warriors by a huge margin of 130 runs.
