From Albie Morkel hitting 28 runs to Virat or Chris Gayle scoring 29 runs in Aaron Finch's over, there are many expensive overs bowled in the IPL. 1. Ravindra Jadeja Vs Harshal Patel (37 Runs)

In IPL, the match between CSK and RCB has always been one of the most exciting as it is also a clash between the two teams with the most significant fan base of IPL. In the 19th match of IPL 2021, CSK won the toss and decided to bat first. Till the 19th over, CSK's scorecard was 154 runs. Harshal Patel bowled the last over for RCB, and Ravindra Jadeja was batting. In the final over, something unimaginable happened as Jadeja hit 37 runs in the final over, in which a no-ball was also included. That last over, Harshal Patel, is the most expensive over ever bowled in the IPL.

2. Chris Gayle Vs Prasanth Parameswaran (37 Runs)

Chris Gayle has been one of the most dangerous batsmen in the history of IPL. Almost every bowler used to fear him as he could easily tear the ball in two parts, and the same happened in IPL 2011. In the 50th match of IPL 2011, played between RCB and Kochi Tuskers, Kochi Tuskers won the toss and elected to bat first, scoring only 125 runs. RCB got a target of 126 runs, and in the 3rd over, Chris Gayle scored 37 runs in Prasanth Parameswaran's over. Chris Gayle smashed four sixes and three fours in Prasanth's over.

3. Suresh Raina Vs Parvinder Awana (33 Runs)  

In the 2nd Qualifier of IPL 2014, CSK won the toss and chose to bowl first. Kings XI Punjab batted first, and by Sehwag's brilliant century, Punjab scored 226 runs in 20 overs. While chasing a target of 227, CSK lost their first wicket in the 1st over. After that, Suresh Raina came to the crease and smashed Punjab's bowler. In the 6th over of the match, Suresh Raina scored 33 runs against Parvinder Awana. Despite Suresh Raina's destructive innings of 87 off 25 balls, CSK lost the game by 24 runs, and Punjab qualified for the finals.

4. Chris Gayle Vs Ravi Bopara (33 Runs)

Again, Chris Gayle is on the list, but he played for KKR this time. In the 34th match of IPL 2010, played between Punjab and Kolkata, Kolkata won the toss and decided to bat first. Till the 12th over, KKR scored 89 runs at the loss of 1 wicket. The 13th over was bowled by Ravi Bopara, and Chris Gayle smashed and hit four sixes in his over. After this, Ravi Bopara bowled wide balls, and the over got extended, and he gave 33 runs in his over. Despite Gayle's destructive batting, Punjab won the match by eight wickets.

5. Chris Gayle Vs Rahul Sharma (31 Runs)

In the 21st match of IPL 2012, played between RCB and Pune Warriors, Pune Warriors won the toss and elected to bat first. After batting 20 overs, Pune Warriors set a target of 183 runs for RCB. But until the 12 over, RCB scored only 76 runs and needed 107 runs in the successive 48 balls. The 13th over was bowled by Rahul Sharma, and Chris Gayle decided to attack him. In Rahul Sharma's absence, Chris Gayle scored 31 runs. Rahul Sharma's over-33 runs decreased the pressure for RCB. As a result, Chris Gayle scored a match-winning 81 runs, and RCB won the match by six wickets.

6. Rahul Tewatia Vs Sheldon Cottrell (30 Runs)

The 9th match of IPL 2020, played between RR and Punjab, was the nightmare match for Sheldon Cottrell. In this match, Punjab batted first and scored 223 runs. Rajasthan Royals were chasing a massive target of 224 runs, where Samson and Steve scored half-centuries. After their dismissals, Rahul Tewatia came to bat and struggled to time the ball. In the 18th over of the match, where the winning chances for Rajasthan Royals were meager, Rahul Tewatia smashed 30 runs in Cottrell's over. 7. Virat Kohli Vs Shivil Kaushik (30 Runs)

In the 48th match of IPL 2016, played between RCB and Gujarat Lions, AB de Villiers and Virat Kohli scored a century. In the 19th over of RCB's innings, Virat Kohli smashed 30 runs and reached his century. The 19th over was bowled by the Gujarat Lions bowler Shivil Kaushik, and Virat Kohli went into destructive mode. In this match, RCB scored 248 runs and easily won the game by 144 runs.

8. Hardik Pandya Vs Ashok Dinda (30 Runs)

After Harshal Patel, the over bowled by Ashok Dinda to Hardik Pandya is the most expensive last over of the IPL. The 2nd match of IPL 2017 was played between Mumbai and Pune Supergiant, where Pune won the toss and elected to bat first. Till the 19th over, Mumbai Indians scored only 154 runs. 10. Virender Sehwag Vs Andrew Symonds (30 Runs)

Virender Sehwag is one of the most dangerous batsmen of all time. It was the first time any batsman scored 30 runs in an over. In the 1st season of IPL, the 7th match was played between Delhi and Deccan Chargers. Deccan Chargers batted first and scored 142 runs. In Delhi's batting, Virender Sehwag was constantly attacking bowlers, and by his destructive innings, Delhi only needed 31 runs in 48 balls.
