The Indian Premier League has become one of the most famous and competitive leagues in cricket. It started in 2008 and since then, it has been played annually. It currently consists of ten teams in which players from several countries participate. The MI and CSK are considered to be the most successful teams. Over the years, the craze for the IPL has rapidly increased. On the one hand, IPL is famous for producing some of the finest players, for witnessing mammoth team scores, for friendship bonds, and for getting to see players hitting consecutive boundaries in a single over. On the other hand, it is also renowned for witnessing some of the wildest and aggressive moments in cricket. So, let’s look at some of the most heated moments in the IPL.

1. Gautam Gambhir Vs. Virat Kohli

These two Delhiite players are as famous for their aggression and hot temperament as for their batting skills. They have often engaged in some on-field disputes. For instance, in the 2013 IPL, while the KKR captain, Gambhir, celebrated the wicket of Kohli, he did not seem happy with this. It resulted in an exchange of appalling words between these two players. Finally, the umpires had to intervene to end the dispute.

2. Harbhajan Singh Vs Sreesanth

In 2008, during the first season of the IPL, Harbhajan Singh and Sreesanth got engaged in a heated argument. In the heat of the moment, Harbhajan slapped Sreesanth, which left the latter in tears. As a result, all three players had to pay a fine for breaching the code of conduct. It happened in this year’s IPL only.

4. MS Dhoni Vs. The Umpires

Most of the time, we have seen M.S. Dhoni in a calm and composed manner. He is, therefore, considered the Cool Captain. 5. Kieron Pollard Vs Mitchel Starc

During the 2014 IPL, the spectators indeed witnessed one of the most unusual moments in IPL history after Pollard threw his bat at Starc, as the former was not ready to bat. In ninth place is when Ashwin, while batting for the KX1P, was caught out by Kohli during a match between RCB and the KX1P in the IPL 2019. While Kohli proudly celebrated Ashwin’s wicket, the latter felt agitated, and that’s why he exchanged some words with Kohli before leaving the ground.
