1. Chris Gayle
In the very first place, we have the ferocious Caribbean batter, Chris Gayle. He is renowned for scoring plenty of runs in a few deliveries and setting several records. “The Universe Boss” made his IPL debut in 2009 and played his last IPL match in 2021. He has hit 357 sixes in the 142 matches he has played so far. Among these, he has played for three teams: RCB, KKR, and Punjab Kings. Besides, he also holds the record for setting up the highest individual score in the IPL with 175 runs.
2. Rohit Sharma
In second place is the current Indian captain, Rohit Sharma. He debuted in 2008 and has been playing in the IPL since then. For the first two years, he played for the DC, but after 2011, he became a part of the MI. He has hit 257 sixes in a total of 243 matches.
3. AB de Villiers
The legendary Protea batsman, AB de Villiers, also known as Mr. 360 Degree, occupies the third position in this list. He started his IPL career by playing for the DD, but soon became a part of the RCB. In all the 184 matches he has played in the IPL, he has hit 251 sixes.
4. MS Dhoni
The former Indian captain, M.S. Dhoni, also referred to as the “Cool Captain”, comes in at the fourth position in this list. Since his IPL debut, he has played for CSK only, barring those two years when CSK had to face a ban. Known for his witty decision-making skills and for playing the role of a finisher, Dhoni has hit 239 sixes in the IPL.
5. Virat Kohli
The next player to hit the most sixes in the IPL is another Indian batsman, Virat Kohli. After making his IPL debut for the RCB, he has faithfully been a part of the RCB team only since then. He is the only player to have played most matches for a single team in the IPL. Besides, he has hit 234 sixes so far.
6. David Warner
In sixth place is the popular Australian batter, David Warner. Renowned for his aggressive batting skills, he has played for a couple of teams in the IPL, the Delhi Daredevils, and the SRH. In 176 matches, he has hit 226 sixes.
7. Kieron Pollard
This Caribbean player made his IPL debut in 2010 for the MI and played his last IPL last year for the MI only. So far, he has played 189 matches and hit 223 sixes.
8. Suresh Raina
The next person on the list is Suresh Raina. He has always played for the CSK and has hit 203 sixes so far in the IPL. Till now, he has scored 5,528 runs in the IPL.
9. Andre Russell
On the ninth position, we have the ferocious Caribbean cricketer, Andre Russell. He plays the role of an all-rounder. Currently, he plays for the KKR and has hit 193 sixes in a total of 112 matches.
10. Shane Watson
Shane Watson, an Aussie all-rounder, occupies the last place in this list. After making his IPL debut in 2008 for the RR, he played his last IPL in 2020 for the CSK. In these 145 matches, he has hit 190 sixes.
