Scoring a triple century in test cricket is a dream for any batsman as it is rare for batters to score 300 in test cricket. Even though there have been test matches where batters have scored a triple century. But there have been some batsmen who have achieved the fastest triple centuries in test cricket.

1. Virender Sehwag (278 Balls)

Virender Sehwag was a player who changed the batting style in test cricket. As an aggressive opener, he attacked every bowler from the start of the match. That too in test cricket, where every batter takes their time to settle themselves. Due to his aggressive batting, Virender Sehwag holds the record for scoring the fastest triple century in test cricket. In the 1st test against South Africa in 2009, Virender Sehwag completed his triple-century in just 278 balls, with a strike rate of more than 100. He played an outstanding innings of 319 runs in 304 balls.

2. Mathew Hayden (362 Balls)

Like Virender Sehwag, Mathew Hayden was also the kind of batsman who liked to play on the front foot. In test cricket, he also used to play an aggressive brand of cricket. In the 1st test against Zimbabwe, Mathew Hayden scored the second-highest score and fastest triple century of test cricket. In the match, Zimbabwe won the toss and bowled first. In the 1st innings, Mathew Hayden single-handedly destroyed Zimbabwe’s bowling lineup. In the inning, he completed his triple century in 362 balls and scored 380 runs, the highest test score of that time.

3. Virender Sehwag (364 Balls)

Undoubtedly, there will be no batsman like Sehwag in the future. Virender Sehwag was the only batsman who dared to complete a triple century by smashing a six, which he did against Pakistan in 2004. In the 1st test, India won the toss and decided to bat first. In the 1st innings, Virender Sehwag completed his triple century in 364 balls, which he achieved by hitting a six and became the first Indian batsman to score a triple century. In the innings, Virender Sehwag played an unforgettable innings of 309 runs in 375 balls. As a result, India won the match by an innings and 52 runs.

4. Karun Nair (381 Balls)

In the year 2016, England toured India for a 5-match test series. In the 5th test, Karun Nair became the 2nd Indian to score a triple-century in test cricket. In the match, England won the toss and chose to bat first. In the 1st innings, England scored 477 runs. In the 2nd inning, Karun Nair played the most important inning of the match. In the innings, Karun Nair scored 303 runs in 381 balls, hitting 32 fours and four sixes. With the help of his innings, India scored their highest score in test cricket. David Warner is one of the finest batsmen that Australia has ever produced. Recently, he took retirement from test cricket. Brian Lara is one of the greatest batsmen that West Indies has ever produced. In 2004, Brian Lara broke Mathew Hayden’s record for the highest test score in an innings. It was the 4th test of the series between the West Indies and England. West Indies won the toss in the match and elected to bat first. In the 1st innings, Brian Lara created history and scored only 400 in test cricket history. In the innings, Brian Lara completed his triple-century in 404 balls, and West Indies scored 751 runs. In cricket history, no other batter will have an average like Don Bradman. In test cricket, he had an unbelievable average of 99.94, which is unbreakable. In his career, Don Bradman scored two triple-century. His first triple century came against England in 1930, where he completed it in 404 balls. In the innings, Don Bradman scored 334 runs off 448 balls.

10. Lawrence Rowe (430 Balls)

Lawrence Rowe is a former right-handed batsman from the West Indies. In 1974, England toured the West Indies, and in the 3rd match, he became the second West Indies player to score a triple-century in test cricket. In the game, West Indies won the toss and bowled first. In the 2nd innings, West Indies came to bat, and Lawrence Rowe brilliantly scored a triple century, which he completed in 430 balls. In the innings, Lawrence Rowe scored 302 runs off 430 balls.
