Some players are effective and dominant in their homes as conditions favor them, and they score big runs. But some players are not affected by overseas conditions, and they have scored centuries in neutral and away venues. So, here’s a list of ten batters with the most ODI centuries in overseas states.

1. Sachin Tendulkar

2. Virat Kohli

Virat Kohli is a modern master of cricket. Every record and milestone that Sachin has achieved, Virat Kohli is in a race to break them. In ODI cricket, he is the beast who can win the match alone. Virat is one of the best when it comes to chasing a target. So far, Virat Kohli has played 287 ODI matches in which he has scored 48 centuries. In 48 centuries, 26 come in overseas pitches, which indicates the ability of Virat Kohli in white-ball cricket. His 1st ODI century came against Sri Lanka in 2010, scoring 107 runs.

3. Kumar Sangakkara

The greatest batsman of Sri Lanka we have ever seen, Kumar Sangakkara, is the second-highest run-scorer in ODI cricket. He played 404 ODI matches in which he scored 14,234 runs with an average of 42. His 1st ODI century came against Pakistan in 2003. At one time, Kumar Sangakkara used to hold the record for most centuries in a single World Cup, which was further broken by Rohit Sharma. In his ODI career, he had 25 centuries, of which 21 came in overseas pitches.

4. Sanath Jayasuriya

Sanath Jayasuriya was the batsman who redefined ODI cricket. He is one of the most destructive batsmen in the history of ODI cricket. Jayasuriya was the first one who started attacking bowlers from 1st over. In his 445 ODI matches, he scored 13,430 runs. In ODI cricket, Sanath Jayasuriya scored 28 centuries, of which 20 came on overseas pitches. He scored 7 ODI centuries against India, which is the most centuries scored by him against any team.

5. Chris Gayle

Chris Gayle is one of the most dangerous batsmen in any format of cricket. Throughout his career, he had been the nightmare of bowlers. Chris Gayle played 301 ODI matches in which he scored 10,480 runs with an average of 37.8. His 1st century came against Kenya in 2001, in which he played an innings of 152. 6. Rohit Sharma

Rohit Sharma is an aggressive Indian opening batsman, and currently, he is the captain of the Indian team as well. Rohit Sharma has scored three double-centuries in ODI cricket, which is the most by any batsman. So far, he has played 258 ODI matches in which he has scored 31 centuries. In all his ODI centuries, 18 tons come in overseas conditions. In 2010, Rohit scored his 1st ODI century against Zimbabwe, scoring an innings of 114 runs.

7. Sourav Ganguly

Sourav Ganguly is a former left-handed batsman and captain of India. During his captaincy, he formed an aggressive team filled with youngsters like Zaheer, Sehwag etc. But Sourav Ganguly is one of the rare players who has scored more centuries overseas than in home conditions. He played 311 ODI matches in which he scored 22 centuries; only five centuries came on home pitches. Sourav Ganguly has scored 18 centuries in overseas conditions.

8. Ricky Ponting

Ricky Ponting is a former right-handed batsman and skipper of Australia. He is one of the best batsmen that Australia has ever produced. In his career, he played 375 ODI matches, scoring 13,704 runs with an average of 42. Even though his 1st ODI century came on his home soil. But Ricky Ponting scored 17 overseas centuries, of which 10 came in the Away venue and 7 in the Neutral venue. His ODI records against New Zealand and India are outstanding, as he has scored six centuries against them.

9. Saeed Anwar

Saeed Anwar is one of the best and legendary batsmen of Pakistan. His batting style was so elegant and very pleasing to watch. As an opening batsman, Saeed Anwar used to be the headache of bowlers. He played 247 ODI matches in which he scored 20 centuries, out of which 17 were in overseas conditions. His 1st ODI century came against Sri Lanka in 1990. He has scored six centuries against the Sri Lankan team.

10. AB de Villiers

South African batting legend AB de Villers is one of the rare batsmen who have a strike rate of more than 100 in ODI cricket. He is the fastest one to score a century in ODI. In his career of 228 matches, he scored 25 ODI centuries; his 1st one came in the year 2007 against West Indies. AB de Villiers scored 16 ODI centuries in countries like the West Indies, Australia, and India. He scored 6 ODI centuries against India, which is the most by him.
