1. Sachin Tendulkar

Former legendary Indian batsman Sachin holds the record for most runs scored in a One-Day International in a calendar year. Sachin scored 1894 runs at an average of 65.31, with a strike rate of 102.15 in 1998. Sachin scored nine centuries this year. His highest individual score came against Australia in the Wills International Cup quarter-final, where he scored 141 runs. He also scored seven half-centuries in the year.

2. Sourav Ganguly

Former Indian batsman and skipper Sourav Ganguly scored 1767 runs at an average of 46.50, with a strike rate of 76.00 in the year 1999 in One-Day International. Ganguly played 41 One-Day International in 1999, scoring four centuries and ten half-centuries. He also scored his highest individual score in One-Day Internationals of 183 in the same year against Sri Lanka in a 1999 World Cup game.

3. Rahul Dravid

Former Indian batsman Rahul Dravid scored 1761 runs at an average of 46.34, with a strike rate of 75.16 in the year 1999 in One-Day International. Dravid scored six centuries and eight half centuries this year. Notably, he also scored his highest individual score of 153, which came against New Zealand in same year.

4. Sachin Tendulkar

The former Indian batsman made his way into the list again, scoring 1611 runs at an average of 53.70 with a strike rate of 82.40 in 1996. Sachin played 32 One-Day International in 1996, scoring six centuries and nine half-centuries. His highest individual score of this year came against Sri Lanka, where he scored 137 runs; however, it came in a losing cause.

5. Matthew Hayden

The former Australian batsman Hayden scored 1601 runs at an average of 59.29 with a strike rate of 89.19 in 2007. Hayden played 32 One-Day International in 2007, scoring five centuries and six half-centuries. He also scored his highest individual score in One-Day Internationals 181, in the same year against New Zealand. He also won the World Cup in 2007, scoring 659 runs in the tournament.

6. Saeed Anwar

The former Pakistani batter Saeed Anwar scored 1595 runs at an average of 51.45 with a strike rate of 91.56 in 1996. Anwar played 36 One-Day International in 1996, scoring three centuries and ten half-centuries. His highest individual score in 1996 was 115 against Sri Lanka in One-Day International. He also scored a century against Sri Lanka in the Singer Champions Trophy.

7. Sourav Ganguly

The former Indian batter Sourav Ganguly finds his place in the list again as he scored 1579 runs at an average of 56.39 with a strike rate of 82.75 in 2000. Ganguly was at his peak in 2000 as he scored seven centuries and six half-centuries in 32 One-Day International. His highest individual score in 2000 was 144 against Zimbabwe in One-Day International.

8. Rohit Sharma

The Indian batter Rohit Sharma found his place in the list as he scored 1490 runs at an average of 57.30 with a strike rate of 89.92 in 2019. Rohit was at his peak in 2017-19, and he made the most of it in 2019, scoring seven centuries and six half-centuries in 28 One-Day International. He also made the record for most centuries in a World Cup season in the same year

9. Martin Guptill

The Kiwi batter Martin Guptill found his place in the list, as he scored 1489 runs at an average of 55.14 with a strike rate of 96.56 in 2015. Guptill played 32 One-Day International in 2015, scoring four centuries and eight half-centuries. 10. Mark Waugh
