There are many different types of bowlers in cricket, such as fast bowlers, medium pacers, and left-arm spinners, but we'll focus on bowlers who are renowned for their bowling techniques and for giving batters a difficult time. There aren't many people in cricket history who have done this, so we'll talk about them.

1. Bernard Bosanquet

Bernard Bosanquet was an English Cricketer; he is the person we are seeing Googly today as he was the inventor of Googly. He was more known for his batting as he scored 11,696 runs at the average of 33.41 and scored 21 centuries. He took 629 wickets at the average of 23.80.

2. Alex Loudon

Alex Loudon is also an English cricketer who plays as an off-spin bowler for the English national team. He debuted for England in 206 and just played a match for them. His 180 wickets in first class are enough to tell you about his career.

3. Jack Iverson

Jack Iverson was an Australian legbreaker. He played just 5 test matches for Australia, but his nickname can tell you how big of a player he was. He was known for his unique bowling style, and he started the unique Bent Grip on the ball, which troubled the batters to bat; he took a total of 277 wickets in first class and 21 wickets in 5 matches in test matches.

4. John Gleeson

Jack Gleeson was an Australian spinner who played 29 test matches for Australia. His odd grip was behind his success, and he took it from Jack Iverson. He is also known for taking four wickets in five balls in the Sheffield Shield, he took a total of 430 wickets in 116 matches in first-class cricket.

5. BS Chandrasekhar

Bhagwat Subramanya Chandrasekhar was an Indian Leg spinner, he was known for his googles which were impossible to play, and there was no one like him in the squad at that time. His 6/38 against England in 1971 was given Wisden’s “Best Bowling Performance of the Century” in 2012. He picked 242 wickets in the 58 test matches he played for India; he also took an astonishing 1063 wickets in first-class cricket.

6. Saeed Ajmal

Saeed Ajmal is a Pakistan right-arm off-spinner, he has represented Pakistan in 212 international matches and taken 447 wickets in his career. He has taken 1198 wickets in first-class cricket. Ajmal first debuted for Pakistan in a test at the age of 32 but still managed to take 178 wickets in 35 matches he played with an average of 28.10

7. Ajantha Mendis

Ajantha Mendis was a Sri Lanka right-arm off-break. He was known for his unusual style of bowling. He took inspiration from Jack Iverson and created his spin ball, we understand as a carrom ball. Mendis represented Sri Lanka in 145 matches, where he took 288 wickets across the format and took 764 wickets in First class cricket.

8. Saqlain Mushtaq

Saqlain Mushtaq was a Pakistan off-spinner. He pioneered the ‘doosra,’ which is spinning away from the batter. He debuted for Pakistan in the year 1995. He was the fastest bowler to reach 100 ODI wickets. He has taken 496 international wickets for Pakistan, and he has taken 1325 wickets in first class.

9. Sunil Narine

Sunil Narine is a Trinidadian cricketer who plays as an all-rounder for West Indies and plays as a right-arm off break. He specialized in bowling slower balls with different variations, which was hard to pick on. He took 165 wickets in 122 matches for West Indies.

10. Muttiah Muralitharan

Best for the last, Muttiah Muralitharan is the greatest spinner of the game. This man could turn the ball at any surface and at any time, even if the surface was not helping the spinners, but he was just more than that, he could bowl a marathon spell without rest and still give his best. This was Muttiah Muralitharan. He took 3582 wickets in his career in formats like test ODI and first class.
