With the World Cup starting from 5th October, it brings the excitement of new talents from all over the world. Many players have stolen the show at the biggest stage of the game and many youngsters will be ready to emulate this. So today, we will look at “Top 10 Players Who Are Debuting in WC 2023” and are prepared  to display their skills at the biggest stage.

1. Shubhman Gill

Shubman Gill, since his debut, has been in great form in ODIs. Gill scored 1917 runs in 35 matches at an average of 66.10. In 2023, Gill in ODIs has scored 1230 runs at an average of 72.35, which includes a double hundred against New Zealand. His recent innings have already made him the ‘Prince’ of Indian Cricket, and a good ODI World Cup is on the cards.

2. Harry Brook

The rise of Harry Brook is evident in world cricket with his heroics with the bat in Test and T20Is. However, he has only played 7 ODIs so far and hasn't been well enough and he will be eager to play impactful knocks in the World Cup. England had dropped Roy and included Brook in their squad, which shows the trust management, had in Brook.

3. Tohid Hridoy

Tohid Hridoy is the rising star for Bangladesh in 2023. He made his debut against Ireland, where he scored 92 and announced his arrival on the biggest stage. He also had a good Asia Cup, where he scored two fifties against India and Sri Lanka. A young batter with a good temperament, he will be eager to steal the show in the World Cup.

4. Cameron Green

Green is the youngest player in Australia's World Cup squad. An aggressive batter and a handy bowler, Green can play a significant role in the Australian team. His recent form has been mediocre in the ODI series against India, however, his test performance in the Border-Gavaskar Series & IPL performance could be a morale booster for him.

5. Rachin Ravindra

The 23-year-old all-rounder Rachin Ravindra can provide balance in the New Zealand's squad. The left armer is more than a handy batter and can give important breakthroughs from his left-arm spin. In Indian Conditions, he can provide the Kiwi side with a genuine batting all-rounder.

6. Gerald Coetzee

The 22-year-old fast bowler from South Africa is a right-arm fast bowler who came into the limelight after his superb outing in SA20. Coetzee has taken 14 wickets in 7 matches at an average of 28. He will be part of South Africa's pace battery along with Rabada, Jansen & Lizard Williams and can play a significant role in South Africa's World Cup campaign.

7. Matheesa Pathirana

The 20-year-old fast bowler has made rapid progress in white-ball cricket after his performance in the IPL. He was one of the significant reasons CSK won the IPL in 2023.  His death bowling is often compared with Malinga's due to his slingy actions and he will be keen to fill the shoes of Malinga and do well in the World Cup.

8. Marco Jansen

The 23-year-old Left Arm all-rounder has impressed a lot of players, including Virat Kohli, due to his bowling. He has picked 44 test wickets in just 11 matches and has shown glimpses of it in ODIs, where he has picked 20 wickets in 15 games. He has also done well with the bat, as he has an average of 30 with the bat and a strike rate of over 110 in ODIs. He will be eager to display his talent in the World Cup.

9. Dunith Wellalage

Wellalage came into the limelight after taking a 5-wicket haul against India in the Asia Cup. The 20-year-old showed glimpses of his ability in both bowling and batting in the Asia Cup and, he could be an ‘X-Factor’ for Sri Lanka in the World Cup as the pitch can assist his bowling and, he is more than a handy batter, too.

10. Noor Ahmed

The 18-year-old Afghani left-arm chinaman bowler has impressed a lot in his short career. He has already shown his ability with the ball in the IPL, where he took 16 wickets for Gujarat Titans and played a massive role in Gujarat's road to the IPL Finals. He will be eager to partner with Rashid Khan in spin bowling and steal the show in the World Cup.
