1. Mohammad Nabi

Nabi plays as a right-handed batter and bowls right-arm off-break. He began his T20I career in 2010 and has played in 101 matches until now, scoring close to 1700 runs and picking up 83 wickets.

2. Najibullah Zadran

Najibullah Zadran is a left-handed middle-order batter and one of Afghanistan’s most elegant and stylish batters. Zadran first featured in a T20I in 2012 against India in Colombo, and since then has been an integral part of the Afghanistan national team. He has played in 83 T20Is so far, with 1559 runs to his name at an average of 32.47.

3. Ashgar Afghan

Ashgar Afghan is one of Afghanistan’s most celebrated captains. Ashgar played as a right-handed middle-order batter and also bowled part-time right-arm medium-fast. From 2010 to 2021, he played in 75 T20 internationals and scored 1382 runs at an average of 21.93 with four fifties to his name.

4. Rashid Khan

Rashid Khan, one of the leading wrist spinners in world cricket at present and a crowd favorite, comes next on the list. Rashid began his T20I career in 2015 when he was only 17 years old, and since then he has been a revelation in world cricket. Until 2022, he had played in 71 T20Is, taking 118 wickets at a mind-blowing average of 14.21.

5. Mohammad Shahzad

Mohammad Shahzad, one of the most entertaining cricketers in the world and a fearless batter, is next on the list. Shahzad played as a right-handed wicketkeeper batter and usually opened the innings for Afghanistan, giving them blistering and quick starts. He featured in 70 T20 internationals for Afghanistan and scored 2015 runs at an average of 30.07.

6. Samiullah Shinwari

Samiullah Shinwari is an all-rounder born in Nangrahar, Afghanistan. Shinwari bats as a right-handed middle-order batter and bowls right-arm leg-break. Since 2009, he has been a part of the Afghanistan T20I team and has played in 65 matches, scoring over 1000 runs and picking up 28 wickets.

7. Gulbadin Naib

Next on the list is Gulbadin Naib, a former Afghanistan captain and a batting all-rounder from Logar. Naib plays as a right-handed batter and bowls right-arm medium fast. In 53 T20Is, he has scored 564 runs at an average of 18.80 and has picked up 20 wickets at an average of 34.40.

8. Shafiqullah Shafiq

9. Karim Janat

Karim began his T20I career in 2016 when he played his first match against the U.A.E. Up until now, he has played in 41 matches and has scored 362 runs and picked up 31 wickets at an average of 28.51.

10. Karim Sadiq

Karim Sadiq was a right-handed opening batter for Afghanistan, born in Nangrahar. Karim made his T20 international debut in 2010 against Ireland in Colombo. From 2009 to 2018, he featured in 36 T20Is for Afghanistan and scored 538 runs at an average of 14.94. He also used to bowl part-time, right-arm off-break.
